Double ACL tear and he dominates all his opponents still after taking time off from competing. Not just dominates, but finishes a majority of them. Division 1 wrestling is the best of the best wrestlers too. Almost all of them were 4x state champs in HS and were undefeated or lost a 3-4 matches in their whole career. For Lee to dominate them with such ease just shows how naturally gifted he is.

I agree with all of that except the naturally gifted. I’m sure that’s some but more than anything is his training and life dedication to this sport. Spencer and I wrestled for the same youth program when we were like 6. Even then, he worked way harder than anyone and when he outgrew those programs, he searched for a higher level of competition to make himself better

@@whitecatoutdoors4324 I think at the end of the day, everyone at the top of their sports work hard. No one outworks anyone at the highest level of sports. Its just mind games they say to boost themselves up. I think at the end of the day what separates the top 1% in sports from everyone else is just natural talent that you cant really explain. Lebron didnt invent basketball, Brady didnt invent football, and Lee isnt doing anything different in wrestling. I used to wrestle in HS and the chicken wing/tilt that Lee uses was my move I used! its nothing special hes doing. I just think there are some ppl who are just freak athletes and Lee is one of them. Just my opinion

It's absolutely insane. I'm about as torn about it as his ACL. I wrestled, so I understand that warrior mentality. I was willing to fight to the death, I also didn't care of I injured my knee when I broke the squat record for my high school. But man, what if he wrestled himself into permanent damage? At some point, doctors need to be able to protect the wrestlers from themselves.

If he wrestled at a high level, his ACL(s) weren't completely torn. Not unless they were shooting him up with serious painkillers and he had a brace that would stabilize the knee and there isn't a brace made that good.

Do we all remember those four glorious years we got to watch Bo, Zain, and Jason wrestle? Well if for some strange reason you can’t just come to KZread and remember. Thank God we have had Spencer, another man who just don’t look to win by decision. Those four go out there to completely dominate by tech or pin.

He may be the toughest athlete i've ever seen. Think about how many times he has been hurt? And still dominates, not just wins, but dominates. The only athlete I can even think to compare him to when it comes to coming back from multiple MAJOR injuries and still comes back is Tiger Woods. He's on that level. There is something magical about him. When I first saw highlights of this kid he was still in high school. I hated him. He seemed so arrogant and cocky. But when you really look at him, his attitude and what he has accomplished, I was wrong. He just has a unique, almost instinctual, gift of toughness and greatness. I have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for Spencer Lee. No other multiple time national champions havae had to go through what he has. He is special.
