I take the lead off the old battery or as holder and solder on a hat connector. Then I can take the $15 8c 2s 2000mah and charge it with my balance charger and a lipo battery bag like all my other batteries. Thanks for your videos

The battery you were holding at the start is a lithium ion. Ion batteries do not have balance leads unlike a standard lipo batteries.

can you explore the differences between lithium polymer and lithium ion batteries I would not use the LiPo pack from amazon in your transmitter LiPo packs do not like to sit around charged up - they should be kept at storage voltage and charging in the transmitter without any balance circuitry is potentially dangerous lithium ion packs on the other hand usually contain integrated balance circuitry as well as do not mind sitting around after being charged up the other choice is LiFePO4 batteries - they will sit around charge and ready to go and are safer to charge etc. they do have a lower voltage - which in some Tx and Rx cases is a good thing LiPo packs are for higher rate of current discharge like motor power systems where ion and life packs are better suited for lower continuous demand like transmitter and receiver applications

Hey Sean, I converted my granddaughters electric car to use the Milwaukee drill 18 volt batteries. I have taken them apart and replaced the cells that have gone bad. They take the same ones as you have there.

My DX9 has a 2s 4000mah pack in it and I only have to charge it every few months with daily usage!

My JR PCM 10 battery died yesterday too! I'm just glad I was not in the air when it happened lol but I hadn't charged it forever! I should have been more careful since it's in a huge glow powered plane!
