Have you fixed those issues? I ask because I’m looking to buy one of these and I have some older AR636 receivers I use in my planes. I don’t want to buy it if they don’t work.

good morning good morning I recently bought a spektrum ix12 and I have trouble configuring the ailerons and flaps. I have a glider with a 6 channel receiver (I use 5) divided as follows: ale: aileron s aux1: aileron d rudd ... ele ... thro ... I need to use the ailerons also as flaps. Do you have precise instructions on how to do it? thank you

The only thing that that radio needs is a flight simulator that you can download on it. So you can practice with the radio you will be using 🤔🤔🤔

Really reminds me of my 14mz of the past, with a few more nice features. I have a DX8G2, and an old DX7S that I no longer use. I was against spending another 2300 on a radio, but this radio is really growing on me and my tastes.. I wonder though if it's like my Note, and other Android devices, in that it will be faster if the bulk of the widgets are removed. But once again, thinking about this more as time goes on..

Why do you emphasize that the iX12 should be recharged every day? Does it put an especially heavy load on its lithium ion battery? Is the AH capacity of the battery marginal?

I wouldn’t need even 85% of the features . I really don’t think all that Technology is needed . They should Just simplify this ! Just sayin .

iX12 - Discontinued. They just announced the iX14 (Nov. 2022) is it any better than the iX12 ???

Was put out too soon IMHO. Boot up time is forever! (Can be put into sleep mode to speed t Menus are quite simple looking, Case feels cheap, Many bugs still need to be resolved.

this IX12 remote has a BIG issue, the onboard tablet, is so slow and crash all the time.. its not a very good tablet also then chancing setting, often it take half a minut just to chance bectween Normal screen and setting or model fan. this table is total useless. sorry to say.

The manual is in the TX.

NO, its not like a ipad, iphone or another ios product. its Android.. its more like a Samsung S10, Galazy Tab tablet... iOS is more locked up then Android and you are able to do way way more things with this, you can even make your own apps.

A nice video, but it seems still slow and have an annoying handling .....I have Instagram and Facebook but I dont like to use them with my radio..... I look for a new radio ....I today use Futaba T16SZ Yes it's new BUT it's a Futaba and I'm so dissapointed on it's hard to understand to setup....And it's manual seems made for people that already understand how to use the radio. The spekrum Ix12 was my wish until i saw how slow it seems to be to use on many places here on KZread. Futaba T16SZ can I not recommand to anyone.....And Spektrum with this Ix12 seems to take a too big step in my taste. DX 9 looking a bit old.... but I think it's more in my taste anyway.

The DX9 is a very good radio. Easy to use and program. What i did was to put a 4000 mah LiPo in it and you can fly every day for a month without charging it. What is important to me is not to fiddle with the Tx but fly ... not having to learn to program a complicated radio such as Taranis or other open Tx.

Glad I got the gen 1 dx-18 for $500 when they were dumping them. Made in Malaysia - updates to the latest Airware - the last good radio spektrum made.

I've been looking to upgrade from my Spektrum DX 8 and after some pretty extensive reading, research and trawling through forums, the iX 12 does NOT look like a good move. It was NOT a wise strategy to build-in an Android tablet (of dubious or unknown parentage) into an R/C transmitter. That's an uncomfortable mix of technologies and you are bound to inherit issues, bugs and problems from the Android universe into what ought to be a far slicker and faster Transmitter O/S. Boot time is clearly NOT GOOD, leaving you to depend on "sleep mode" - suggests to me that the tablet CPU, architecture and / or memory is simply not up to the job. WORSE STILL there is bloatware in the distribution. I mean ... Dropbox ... KZread ... FACEBOOK???? For gods sake, what are those doing on a bloody Transmitter?? I'm yet to be convinced of the wisdom of the iX strategy - it looks like "Style Over Substance" to me and I've not yet heard anything that would ever convince me to buy into this Frankenstein-Tx.

Right. The New NX radios do look pretty great though. We've got a guy working on a review on one right now, so it will be interesting to hear his thoughts after having some time with it.

That was confusing, and you seem never to have gotten the hang of the presses. How about a transmitter that flies an airplane instead of giving me FaceBook?

Way more crap that anyone needs. A disaster. Simplicity always better.

Bring back JR radios. I really want to surf the net when I'm flying and watch you tube as well cause flyng rc is not a challenge anymore. All this crap is making the hobby a headache.

I want to go to the field and fly my plane NOT be inundated with apps etc. Is it a mobile phone with a spectrum TX added on or is it a TX with a mobile phone added on!!!!!!!!! I have a DX 9 which is BRILLIANT. Spektrum have lost the plot........ and my custom....

Its the worst touch screen I have ever seen, like that fitted to the cheapest Android tablet from China or India, its also a very expensive radio. The radio is powered from a single cell battery that appears to have a very short usage life before needing a recharge.

Lost me when you started referring to this Android system as "iOS.: This, thankfully, is not another piece of Apple crapware.

Yeah, its worse. It's a slow ass, hackable android platform FULL of issues. I have one and I like the radio but I HATE the android bullshit. Worst thing on the planet.

the transmitter has to much technology there was know need for emails and so on.

Its essentually a ipad. Not something I would need at the field, ever. Just one more thing to fail having all the bells and whistles. The more complicated these things get, the harder they get to operate. I am 58 and do not need another device giving me internet acess. Facebook, You- Tube? Really? no thankyou.

TAGE_FPV Grumpy, yes. Yes, I really need to acess the internet while flying. My dx6 takes a memory card, I can download any information reguarding parameters of a particular plane and down load then into memory. THAT is good enough. Contacting my buddys to go flying, or using it to download video footage just seems like one more thing to go wrong. My DX 6 already acts up in voice mode already, have to try deleting the info and redownloading it as it is. If that doesnt work, then it goes in for repairs. Grumpy, yes. When technology cannot even work right from the get go....damn right....grumpy.

interman 77 because you are missing the point entirely of why this exists. Some people DON'T want to carry a retardedly big iPad. They want to bluetooth into their quad on the field, for example and make changes on the the fly. Some want the ability to review media on their device without the need for a phone for example. Some want the ability to use mission planner without the nead for ANOTHER HEAVY CLUNKY THING hanging off of their TX. Some people want to plug in a VRX and use the display as an FPV screen. The point being, you've missed the point entirely of why this exists because it's not made for your demographic.

After using one for 6 days and returning after multiple freezes and issues yes. Updates may have sorted it. Still using a DX9.

Why not put Kroger, Meijer, and a few other shopping apps on there too? Maybe you can go online with the radio and order up a pizza while Tweeting your buddy that's standing right next to you. SMH, this is what kids want in a radio, not what most of us real R/C guys want. Horrible idea to add these stupid apps that have nothing to do with R/C!

What a bunch of crap, totally overdone, 50% useless features, lousy touch screen, slow beyond beliefs, and still a cheap plastic device. I stick with my DX7 and 1st Gen DX18. Well at least for my cheaper aircraft. The good stuff flies with Jeti or KRAFT 2.4Ghz. Try again Spektrum, keep with the point, RC control instead of Facebook or Twitter.

Taranis radios are best. These spektrum futaba radios are just overpriced
