Da Dragon Durp oml, this is the 7 time I have seen you, you are everywhere
Nice, I really love how you use complementary colors, it really adds a lot of interest to the illustration
Your line art is godly
What’s so great about art, is you never stop learning. Like, I bet this artist here still sees some flaws in their own artwork, that they seek to improve (even though this is absolutely gorgeous in my eyes). Nobody is perfect, we’re all just learning together 😊.
I really love your style oh my god
Your art never fails to inspire and drive me to be better at my art. So much amazing detail its crazy!!
Your art is amazing You inspire me so much!

The music is low key litty Edit: almost as lit as the red lighting damn
So good.. it is amazing all your journey since you started Remarin! You are one of the best artist I know.. and I know some really goods one.. be happy and never give up!
How can something be so magnificent and chilling at the same time?
Awesome like always !
Why does your version of Mountkid - Dino sound higher quality than the one actually released by their own channel? xD I came here for art, stayed to question music quality Oh, maybe it's because the art enhances the music !
I. LOVE. YOUR. ART. OMG I CANT BREATHE!!! IIII

Yeah man! I keep a youtube playlist on art related videos that have in some way informed me, helped, motivate me etc kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZoCcxbCbdrDRhNo.html&list=PLEFKK1ywgVCDPDR9RhgxU0SojdWpUZAiD&index=16 kzread.info/dash/bejne/qpd3rJR8hZDIdto.html&list=PLEFKK1ywgVCDPDR9RhgxU0SojdWpUZAiD&index=4 these 2 videos cover light/shadow, and color in a 10 minute span,, good to get a quick general overview on stuff. There are some more videos on color in the playlist as well. kzread.info/dash/bejne/rHdnsdqonq3JiLQ.html&list=PLEFKK1ywgVCDPDR9RhgxU0SojdWpUZAiD&index=60 And this video covers the method of thinking I use for the painting-esque style I use for shading! There are also these kinds of books you can check out! www.amazon.com/How-Render-fundamentals-shadow-reflectivity/dp/1933492961 www.amazon.com/Color-Light-Realist-Painter-Gurney/dp/0740797719/ref=pd_sim_14_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=0740797719&pd_rd_r=S5FNT2BJ2R7PP1KJYXQ1&pd_rd_w=2lrHh&pd_rd_wg=GPvAJ&psc=1&refRID=S5FNT2BJ2R7PP1KJYXQ1 Just scrolling through the recommended picks underneath can lead to tons of more stuff

Love it! May I ask how you shade? I see the layer with two colors but can't get my head into it
Love your Art! I was wondering if you would ever do a tutorial on shading?
@Remarin
6 жыл бұрын
Yes! I'm actually thinking of it being the next tutorial I make! I did already try to record one earlier this week, but I kept rambling on and on about side-points halfway through :'> I want to be able to make videos without having to do an hour of writing, just for the delivery to sound stiff. But since it's a topic that has lots of knowledge-tidbits I'm thinking it might work out better if I first talk about the technical method I use (layer settings, photoshop tools etc) in one video, and make a part 2 talking about usage of color, contrast, styles (cell/soft/painterly etc)I just gotta get rid that feeling of having to cover everything in one swoop :'0
oh great Remari sensei, teach us how to paint properly
is there a certain way to get the lneart to look good? ive always struggled with it.
wish my dental hygiene was that good
Could i have a rundown on the steps, or maybe what brushes you use? How do you learn? Thanks, I'm really struggling.
@Remarin

Oh dear "how do you learn" is quite the big topic to tackle in just a youtube comment x'D I recommend you check out these videos: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nWd1zpmKcbaeadY.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/qIFnm9OhiM_LZMo.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/p3mbpdWQqbLfc9I.html They are part of a playlist I keep, all containing videos I've found informative, helpful or inspirational - concerning art. To keep it short, if you're learning independently, keep your sources of information as varied as possible; books, videos, tutorials, other artists on sites like deviantart, all kinds of media on sites like tumblr. If you make a habit of seeking out new information, you will raise the probability of learning constantly something new. I myself am too lazy to regularly do intense study sessions, so this method works for me. Keep collections of art you like, or things that have details in them you'd like to replicate in your art www.deviantart.com/remarin/favourites/ rema-rin.tumblr.com/tagged/reference // rema-rin.tumblr.com/tagged/art-style --- The brushes I use can be found here: www.deviantart.com/remarin/favourites/70489455/BRUSHES I have downloaded the first 5 packs, the first one I primarily use for digital painting (I use the square textured brushes, mainly "miekka 1"), the fourth one has a pencil brush I use for my linework (the third brush of that pack) and the fifth one has a brush I primarily use for shading (the one called "fancypants"). For everything and anything else, I switch around depending on the situation/context of that image. Play around with brushes, experiment,, the brushes one artist uses might not fit someone else's art style unless they use them in a very specific way. You're the only one who can judge which brush fits you and which doesnt. --- Im not sure how much a rundown of my steps would help you; I've been drawing digitally since 2011, and have since then simplified my process, improved my intuition, and lots of things run on muscle-memory / intuition basically. My steps can vary a lot depending on what type of artwork I'm making. Just something loose and simple? Well then it's sketch-lines-coloring-shading. Something similar but more details? then it's 1-3 sketches-lines-coloring-shading. A digital painting? Maybe a sketch - maybe just blobs of color- refine - refine -render details - repeat until it "feels" finished / or energy is gone.

TEACH ME YOUR WAYSSSS. IM MAKING ENTRIES FOR AN ART CONTEST AND IT'S 4 MONTHS LONG I GOTTA GET GOOD (mainly looking to get better at digital painting)
Hey! I had a question for you. Since I don't have DA, would I be able to ask for a slot from here when your commissions open?
@Remarin
6 жыл бұрын
Sure! I guess I'll try to organize it in such a way that I have a video ready for posting to make the announcement here on youtube as well?? :0 otherwise you'd just have to check my deviantart regularly, and I can imagine that'd be quite the hassle

Remarin ahh Tyvm! ^^
I wanted to know what program you use to draw, please answer me!!
What brushes do you use for your blending?
@Remarin
6 жыл бұрын
Check out my FAQ on Deviantart www.deviantart.com/remarin/journal/FAQ-710732487 I link to my brush folder right in the first question, and underneath I explain which packs I use for what purposes (generally) The blending in this piece is a mix between the basic soft round brush, and for detailing the one mentioned in the FAQ called "fancypants"
Will you take dA points as a payment option for comms?
@Remarin
6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, just gotta let me know and I can put up a "commission widget" for that specific commission (receiving points via widget instead of normal donation method lets me reconvert the points back into money)
I think I have the skills to make good art, just not the knowledge. Does anyone know some good "manuals" for digital art?
Lol, Xhosa is a language. It's like naming your character 'English' or 'Croatian'. XD
@Remarin
6 жыл бұрын
Well take the name "Christian" which is so common that even as an introvert, I have like 10 different "Chris"'s in my friend-circle,, it is literally derived from the latin word for "a christian", which would be like naming your kid "Jew" or "Buddhist". If you're gonna say that names of fictional characters are weird for being derived of mundane human things, then you gotta realize that real-life names can be just as weird, if not weirder :'0
