I think Speedkicks expected that throw break by Knee around 6:51 . Changed positioning to the left side which I think helped him keep the pressure up toward the end to win that round. That's actually a good strategy to use with Hworang. Most throw breaks push you back but not with that particular throw it seems.

He's reacting to his habits, which means he read him like a book. That's what a lot of high-level wins come to: reading habits, so that even the safest df1 can be launch punishable. I dont like these 'clever' players who purposely waste time. Evo japan 2019 grandfinals, arslan mocked AK for wasting time and it was very satisfying to watch. Knee, Qudans and other top players, when they lose, they just stage select or rematch almost instantly and still able to adjust their style then why not others?? But i'm just a keyboard warrior, what do i know about the nerves of playing against the best tekken player at present 😂

IriquoisPliskin556 I agree; it should take skill to dance. However, it can be a bit more accessible and artistic. To my original point, I don’t think the developers meant to design a fighting game over the past 20 years, where each character has +100 moves, for professional competitors to spaz backwards from each other and not engage. I would like to see the pros play with a bit more risk, and style. I believe I have heard Harada mention improving backward movement in an interview, but I’m not 100%.

  • @IriquoisPliskin556

@@gabetrinidad1016 No one cares that you want to see pros play with "risk and style". You're being that guy that's always in the bar during a UFC match or some shit wondering out loud why the fighters don't just run into each other and start throwing haymakers. If you were playing to win a $50000 tournament would you just lightdash in and try to style with a 6x EWGF? No. You'd try to minimize the risks you take. And Tekken isn't accessible you're right, they need to put together a tutorial for new players to actually get into their game, but there's a fine line between making something accessible vs dumbing it down, and I'd rather the movement didn't try to do anything like that at all.

Being somebody who has actually trained before they do have similarities ...... Whiff ? Reads ? Learning patterns ? Sure IRL revolves around a pain tolerance and physical strength But the technique , timing , reading , and pressure are both in real fights and fighting games And sure you can say This is better than that because this and that . But some fighting styles are more practical than others easily .
