High level Hwoarang play is just amazing to watch. The mix-up potential with all of Hwoarang's stances really shines with players like Rest.
I like jdcr. An insane player, creative, respectful, and cool headed. Hes got the " if I lose, i lose and need to work harder, and if I win then I win" mindset.

Then make a scene there yourself :P I'm from India and im very glad that we are hosting online tourneys like thrice every week. The prize pool doesn't matters if it's 100 bucks or 500bucks, its just about growing and improving the community for the global level.
As a Hwoarang main myself, Rest is the player I've been waiting for since Speedkicks dropped Hwo and MadDogJin's not going to tournaments anymore. This was deffinitely the match of the year for me (for now) and I am gonna keep an eye on this guy.

@@Atilolzz Well not completely, but yes. For the most part you'll see him playing Jin, Miguel or Devil Jin at tournaments. Yes I enjoyed the shrimboo/qudans match more. But it’s refreshing to see more characters in the tournament. That’s why tekken is the best fighting game.
The thing I really loved about it, is that JDCR stick with Armor King and he never change character. The demostration of loyalty for a character, that's what I like to see.

@Loren Magnuson well, it's good that I have my feet on the ground, and I am talking about something fictional, then. All I wrote was that JDCR stick with his favorite character, something I, personally, don't see happen very often in fighting games. I hope I make myself clear now.

@Loren Magnuson It's interesting not only how you interpreted his comment but even made your own comment on it aswell. To anyone who plays fighting games, it would be clear that he meant he's admiring how the player sticks with his character despite there being "better" choices or other characters & not some innate dedication for a fictional character.
Going into esports as Australian is financially impossible. There’s almost no orgs and no sponsorship opportunities. Most players have to pay out of pocket to attend tournaments to only have a chance to get any money back for it. It’s too big a gamble for the majority of us.
2:25 almost positive JDCR went for the wall jump move but didn't have the angle just right for it, curved stages will do that.

This was at Battle Arena Melbourne 11 (Melbourne, VIC, Australia in 2019) I was in the crowd for this!
16:41 😂😂😂😂 that voice though
Damn this kind of matches makes me wonder if I could ever be this level on Tekken
To anyone wondering where this was played it was played in Melbourne Australia in the the Melbourne exhibition centre. I recognise the background and was actually was a member of staff there with couch warriors they run all the fighter tourneys in Australia mainly Victoria and Queensland though
This hwoarang player is so inspiring. Hope to see more from him and others like superhwoarang or asellas
So rest is from korea and recently lives in australia. According to the commentators knee said that he is the hwo with most chance of success right now, he said that before the top 16 for sure.
7:45 I'm a green rank hwo and spams d4, 4. RIP
Knee vs JDCR was the match of the decade !REV MAJOR 2017 ♥
8:18 It kinda is though..... For beginners not so much but if you have experience with doing atleast double electrics its pretty darn easy and nearly feels like autopilot (especially if you button bind, i can see it being a bit tricky if you buffer).

Coming back to this match I don’t think Rest should have stayed on this stage.
Us Lot in Australia cant make it to big tournaments cause most of us work full time while playing tekken and days off are pretty rare
nigga really got mad at the commentators for getting hype💀💀
Rest just gave himself the Rest with picking that stage against JDCR's AK. Rest in Peace..
I think it's a little early to have a match of the year award
What does "what's for breakfast" mean? And what is it origin?
as an Australian, Epsorts is just a difficult scene to breakout as a pro for fighting games, to participate in major tournaments, its all most 3000 dollars in flights then accomodation and meals. basically to go play at major tourneys we have to basically take a whole vacation. even in terms of Australian only tournaments, it cost a bit to travel to the different states just to play for very little prize money. for a lot of good players it just isn't worth the time and money and sacrifice to become a pro.
An 'aussie' taking rounds off jcdr? Well yes but actually no.
TMM atleast they didn't yell, "Double Laugi!" It was an awesome match though.
Nobody TMM: dis is why yu dont pieck this stage?!?!
I guess Rest didnt want a no wall stage to come up on random select
Rest is not Australian lol he's Korean he's only been in Australia for about 2 months now

so when harada will give hworang a proper balanced buff

Australia plays too many sports already. So gaming takes 2nd fiddle to everything else we do. The other thing is although we are 'close to asia' it a long flight to get there. we dont populate their servers so we sort of land in a vacuum where we actually dont experience too much high level korean, japanese, chinese gamers.
