Loved this video! Def need to get myself some sticks, my driver swing is at 105 (my fairway finder) I don’t have another gear, hopefully this kinda training can help my normal speed up 👍🏻👍🏻💪🏻💪🏻

I noticed you started with the PRGR on the floor and then elevated it later. Any other tips to fix mis-reads?

Should the c club be used in place of the green for max swings? Or follow the protocols as written? I usually will add some c swings after training

I have the Super Speed Sticks and a PRGR monitor.... I have worked on and off with them but need to get my ass in gear and get it in my routine. I''ll be 60 this year so I need speed : )

Having the science brand, lack of showing data in this video makes it feel below par. Seems more anecdotal instead of a real showcase of training

I just entered the Level 2 maintenance phase and am thrilled with the results. My question though is how can I break through the cognitive governor wall between driver speed without a ball and driver speed hitting a ball? I'm a good 5-7 mph faster with no ball.

This is what I have been wrestling with as well. Would love to hear some expert advice on this!

I would assume your actual hitting of the ball is slowing the driver head down...

@@EricTheGolfFiend I don't think so. I am usually 10+ mph slower when hitting balls. It is a mental issue for sure, at least for me.

@@dabaumga Could be! Could be a technique issue too once a ball is introduced. There will always be some decrease tho. You can't put a ball in front of you club and expect it not to slow down.

I'd love to know superspeed's opinion on why how the speed sticks translate or don't to real driver speed for some. Ian mention his high with green is 132. I've had my superspeed sticks since 2018 and I'm consistently around low 130s with blue and high 130s/low 140s with the green with a high 146, but watching Ian's videos, he and I are pretty much the same on actual driver swings around 115 mph. Curious why I'm not getting as much out of superspeed speed with a real driver swing?

Havent used them myself but my guess is that you know that a golfball is infront of you while hitting the driver and you are concered with where the ball goes. While using sticks there is nothing there for you to acctually hit so you don't dial it down.

Just adding, a club travelling through the air at 140mph is the same as a still object being hit by a 140mph wind, it's significant.

Nonsense. Ian needs to challenge this guy by asking for "how and why" and data driven evidence.. Speed isn't about repeatedly swinging varying degrees of weighted sticks faster and faster. This is just a recipe for injury. Adding speed to your swing is about better sequencing your move: into the left side earlier bringing the club down much later into the equation. The longest players I know who carry it out there 320 yards- don't sit at home swinging weighted sticks they were sold at a retailer. The just have a specific TIMING to their move. In all honesty if MUST buy a swing aid, the orange whip would help you get your timing right more than any other aid -and TIMING equals speed. Instead of killing yourself with store-bought sticks, work on timing and BODY FLEXIBILITY - which enhances your life in many ways.

Just because you’ve experience one thing, does not make something else untrue. Speed training has been implemented in literally every sport. The concept is not new and is not up for debate. Yes other things help create more forces also, but it does not remove the fact that almost everyone has more potential and speed training is an option to help reach your max potential.

Violently swinging these sticks as illustrated in the video - hosted by a guy saying "faster, faster - lets GO!" who looks like he is gonna stop at Wendy's on the way out of town- is not proper science based training. High volume "overspeed" training is fraught with injury, which has been well documented. There are ways to increase speed and it's not through force.

Reminds me of Ghostbusters. Maybe they should hook you up to electrodes to investigate the value of negative reinforcement on the development of ball speed! ⚡🏌⚡😵‍💫
