I honestly can't believe more channels haven't done speed painting videos. The problem that 99.995% of people in the hobby face is too many minis and too little time to paint. Tutorials like this help get more painted minis to the table. Great job!

I agree and I love these speed painting videos. Sure, some of my models I want to spend hours on to look their best, but the majority of my stuff I just want to get to the table and look halfway decent. These speed painting videos are perfect for that and I can't wait to see what else comes out of this channel.

I totally agree i play warhammer 40k for 2 years now and i couldn't finish any army past 2 troops and 1 HQ because painting them took to long and now i have seen how quick black legion can be painted i am sold and really want it done before oktober when me and my friends make a trip to warhammerworld.

@Gareth they dont look bad although i would probably do a few things differently. however them done like this in a reasonable amount of time and effort will lead to a fully painted project and will be a much better experience then trying to paint a whole army on too high standards to finish.

Such a valuable and well produced video! I am very new to the hobby and I just want to say how much encouragement I feel when I see a video like this that includes the "Rogue brushstrokes". Quite often people just edit their videos with a before and after sequence, making it seem as thought they painted it perfectly in one attempt. Will be following your channel closely sir!

This mirrors my technique eerily closely that I've gotten to over around 6 months worth of painting, I try to attempt or refine a more advanced technique with each HQ or full troop box and my skills have vastly improved utilizing simple but useful skills such as these. While I mostly already have these skills, if you are a new painter, these techniques will RAPIDLY accelerate the quality of your minis. Look into a wet palette, that is also a massive game changer.

This series has been so helpful. I had zero experience in painting and thanks to these step by step guides the minis for BSF look great . I particularly appreciate how you can get to a certain stage and leave it there. These videos are great. I’ve purchased the gellerpox too for a fan made expansion on the Facebook online content group. They will look great next week! Oh and finally how you use such a limited pallet of colours . All the other videos assume you are happy to buy 70 paints some of which are used once for a tongue or minuscule feature.

Lots of folks making “speed painting” videos that really describe high quality tabletop painting. I love those videos but they aren’t “speed painting.” Thanks for your truth in advertising. I have been painting for a year for Star Wars Legion and while I love it, it takes me a while. I wouldn’t have dreamed of buying something like Blackstone Fortress just because I wouldn’t get a chance to play it - it would take me a year to paint everything. But your videos are making me reconsider.

Just want to say how much I'm enjoying this series. Its great to come across little tricks and techniques that can get these models ready for Blackstone Fortress as quickly as possible. In the interest of speed, might I recommend painting the adversaries in the order in which they can appear in the game. For example, I think the starting line up is Spindle Drones, Ur-Ghul's, Traitor Guardsmen and Negavolt Cultists. All others crop up later on in the adventure. Just an idea! You have a new subscriber either way :)

Yes yes yes! Truth be told, I started painting these models during my Christmas break, and hadn't played the game yet. When I played it for the first time with my mate, I was like "oh, piss... I've done these in the wrong order", haha. Anyway, after the Chaos Beastmen, I'll do the Negavolt Cultists and the Traitor Guard!

I'm more use to building wooden models and one tip I have (although you may already know this) prior to sanding the bases, I apply a drop of superglue in the divot and add roket powder. They models are amazing. Following along, however I dry brushed the lower half blue, then mid section grey, then upper grey/white. Turned out great. Mixing the sliver & gold was a great tip. They turned out great. Again thanks for these easy to follow videos.

I love that moment at 3:30 where you show off the models. Honestly, I would have felt like stopping at that stage, because that monochrome (plus metal highlights) look absolutely gorgeous on Chaos Space Marines! Blackstone Fortress really has some of the best minis in GW's line-up.

Another awesome video! Even if this is focused on tabletop standart miniatures for this game, there is so many work and much time invested in it. They look all fantastic and are worth it to have a good place in a showcase 😁. All tutorials are great explained and good to realize with own miniatures. Keep it on!
