Speed of Light According To The Vedas

This video covers the Vedic understanding of the speed of light. it was determined and mentioned accurately back in Rig Veda- a sacred text from India. Sayana, another Indian scholar from the 14th century AD elaborates on this idea further. It also noted that Bhatta Bhaskara made the same statement about the speed of light with his commentary on Taittiriya Brahmana. Watch this video to find out more about the Vedic perspective on the speed of light.

Both the highest speed and quietest pace have been challenged: awareness is located in between in a neutral zone. @ We obviously feel something that knowledge or the mind wishes us to ignore: the value of silence or intervals. When driving is smooth one.may miss the interval between home and work. When meditating one may miss it when not practising. That time in front of a cup of coffee has a value. These green spaces between housing and industries are necessary. The idea would be that what is supposed to represent life allows for well being presence. It has been part of our conditioning not to integrate work and withdrawing or analytical moments. A different conditioning could take us away from just fear, Politics and accidents, to put us in touch with inner intelligence that would have better being in sight. A type of propaganda promoting individual value is overdue and avoided possibly because this requires a lot of work and changes when so many people are busy at war away from their home where there is so much to be done!

To say that light itself moves at any speed would be the same as expecting the street light 10 houses away from yours would eventually begin to light up the area around your front yard as well as a street light right in front of your house. Or you can even think of it this way. If light shot out in all directions, away from everything in our Galaxy which emits light then our night sky would always be bright as sun up, at least. Light can only travel as fast as the rate of induction of the sound/vibration resonance creating it thru the medium. It can be focused like a beam which can make it light up more of the medium in one direction like the headlight on an airplane. No matter how fast or slow the plane moves, its headlight will only ever light up the medium as far as its capabilities allow. Yes, you can see the headlight from afar, heading straight to the airport, but that headlight isn't ever lighting up the airport it's aimed at several minutes before the plane arrives there. I know much of everything we know (and worship) came from the ancient knowledge of east India. But that doesn't mean the people who took and spread this knowledge ever really understood it. I'm no teacher when it comes to this stuff either, though I do try to be a decent student.

Ole Romer did not calculate the speed of light. He noticed that it did not travel at infinite speeds. Also, there is no estimate. The speed of light is measured in 1983 and fixed relative to the oscillation of atomic clocks. Please revise this video. Also, this video discounts the fact that a huge number of leaps have been made in just the past 100 years...due to modern science...because we have the correct numbers.

Rømer's determination of the speed of light was the demonstration in 1676 that light has an apprehensible, measurable speed and so does not travel instantaneously. The discovery is usually attributed to Danish astronomer Ole Rømer, who was working at the Royal Observatory in Paris at the time. Wikipedia

But it is quite astounding to note that Hinduism not just mention the heaven in details but many cosmological calculations tally. This was way before the European Renaissance & golden age of Islam. But it is recognized, why else would there the statue of nataraj greeting you at CERN

Science is based on experiments and evidence from the real world. Not by words of authorities / perceived authorities. What is missing a lot of times is the evidence for the experiments that determines the laws of nature (the speed of light for example). We have to admire the genuine work some of our ancestors did. However, we have to be skeptical about anything doled out as ancient wisdom. For example our ancestors did not even know about the existence of planets beyond Saturn (in the solar system). This is not at all a surprise since one cannot see Uranus and Neptune with naked eyes. If our ancestors did have the instruments like the telescope (no material evidence exist), then surely they could have discovered the distant planets. So please be questioning and critical and not accept statements simply because the sound nice and convenient to boost our ego. As anyone interested in science, the foremost quality is to question. I for one would be enormously interested to know HOW our ancestors were even thinking about these problems (which itself is creditable enough) long back, long before any of our instruments became available. The human mind is indeed amazing, not just our ancestors, but each one of us alive today... Give it a thought.

@@preetammahanna8572 Not sure what specific example you are alluding to which is verifiable (regarding the temples; request you to provide some pointers / references). The problem you mention about the environment is valid. However, I will ascribe it to more as a result of corporate greed, and not due to science per se. There can be people skilled in the sciences who are also greedy human beings. I do not now of your background, but if you do a honest and unbiased search (don't have to take sides like east or west and so on and so forth), science is about the process of inquiry, a fundamental quality of human beings. This same process of inquiry was obviously there in our ancestors also. Whatever we are doing today in 'modern' science has been possible by standing on the 'shoulders of the giants' who came before us. No taking away any merit there. The whole evolution on this front is a fascinating legacy that all humans can feel proud.

There's a lot of revisionist history with India nowadays - trying to show India as someone who has done all this and discovered all this thousands of years before based on no proof and primitive documents. I mean - think about this - people had no clue there was a particle called "photon" which is light, but yet knew light speed and is the fastest speed in the universe but they wrote this on primitive dried leaves. How stupid do these history revisers think we are? They had no cloth mills, telescopes, eye glasses, electronics, circuits, machinery, factory, cars, aeroplanes, guns, nothing and yet somehow knew "light speed". And who are the people who believe this? Really? are you that naive?
