Took this today and it WAS AWESOME MY FAVORITE RIDE, SO SMOOTH, CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE
I always thought Speed Monster has one of the better layouts for a hydraulic launch coaster. Looks like a long, forceful exhilarating experience!

it's not really forceful (except for the bottom of the norwegian loop) but it's still a very fun ride!
Was waiting for videos out of Tusenfryd, the fall foliage there when you visited is absolutely stunning! And this POV really highlights the natural beauty of Norway all around the ride!
This Is What Rita Should Have Been! Smaller Hydraulic Launch Coasters Are Still Really Fun Compared To The 200+ And 400+ft One's. Wish They'd Get Talked About More.

If any of these models were in the US, they would definitely be a conversation starter. I didn’t know about these models until just within the last year or so. I know there are some in Turkey and Italy.

Great POV! Looks like an underrated coaster
Loved this Coaster when I rode it like 13 years ago. Had a great laugh with our Norwegian freinda who took us on Fhart Monster.

fun fact ... when this coaster was build there was a german tv show about the company which installed the coaster for the park the norwegians got the order to make a good space where the crew can park their crane and totally f**ked up and the boss got the rage of his lfie ! :'D the part where this legendary scene happened is 00:39 you can find it when you search for : Kranplätze müssen verdichtet sein ( for a full fotage you have to search on your browser maybe .. because on youtube the original video often gets banned quickly idk why ..

Intamin Accelerators are awesome. We only have one here in Australia, the Superman Escape. Still, there's nothing like it.

Ehm, was um Nichtskoennern? Ich wohne in Norwegen paar Jahre jetzte bin viel in Deutschland in unsere Parks gewesen laenger und besser ja aber Norwegen hat nit viel Platz wie bei uns. Die werden sich verbessern ueber die Zeit. Und die haben coole Achterbahn auch kuerzer aber echt geil auch. Muss man ausprobieren wenn man in Norwegen ist. 😊

The launch looks somewhat similar to Storm runner in the sense that the acceleration is only for about half of the launch track and the rest is just gliding.

that is it with every intamin hydraulic launch. I believe it is around the last 40% only gliding, because of the catch car which has to be stopped. otherwise it would destroy the track if it runs full speed to the end of launch track ^^

It’s somewhere in Norway in a not very well known themapark. It always gets overshadowed by Liseberg in Sweden

@@Thodor1121 As it should. Liseberg is just so much better and in most peoples cases the shorter trip. I love my home park Tusenfryd, but each time i visit Liseberg it's always a bummer coming back to Tusenfryd.

There are a lot of gulls at Tusenfryd. One almost flew into my son’s wagon yesterday on the Hurri Hurri 😅Would certainly not be fun on the Speedmonster 🙈
