Note to the production ‘team’ …. Maybe next year you might take the time to add a caption, identifying each regiment as they pass by as some of the standards were hard to read blowing in the breeze.

Brilliant spectacle

Noticed some faces with the bowlers ( officers) from last year's parade esp in Blues and Royals. Some are now ex-H/CAV. So all respect to them to take the time to parade today.

What is the Calvary and Yeoman try regiments? Are they different from the Rules and Blues, then there are the ones that wear the bear skin hats? Who are they?

The Yeomanry were formed as Cavalry to counter the threat from Napoleon. The Blues and Royals are separate and are part of the Household Cavalry. The Guards wear bearskin and act as Infantry.

The bearskins in this instance are worn by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, who are a cavalry regiment and not infantry.

So strange seeing so many with beards! Yes I know the rules have changed.
