Spectacular birds of Port Aransas Texas
Port Aransas Texas is a spectacular birding destination. It as two great public birding areas (Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center, and Paradise Pond) with boardwalks and maintained birding habitats. There are a lot of good housing facilities since it is also a popular beach destination (do not go there during Spring Break). Eateries are everywhere, including my favorite one ... San Juan Restaurant which is actually in the parking lot of Paradise Pond. And the Birds are Spectacular!!! Catch my other videos, Beautiful Birds of Port Aransas Texas #1-4.

This is excellent photography...fun to watch.
This is the sort of vloging I like to watch, all birds the occasional info and not 90% of the vloger's face. I wish there were more like this.

@@live2walk you'd love to hear me. i took a Speaking For Professional Men class at Texas A&M in 1959. Even my fellow Texans laughed at my country boy accent. i think i can pronounce Arkansas 3 different ways. none would get your approval.
Lovely! Your photography of these little darlings is amazing! I’ve never seen the Pyrrhuloxia- what a beautiful little fella. Thank you so much! This made my day!

@@robertecarpenter Thank you- we do love birds! They are one of God’s sweetest creations. ❤️
I don't have any experience birding the Gulf Coast, but I believe that first rail is a Clapper.

vireogilvus, you are probably right. I was lulled into this identification by an "expert" who was there with his entourage when i saw this bird and he called it a Virginia Rail. For differential identification ... All About Birds says, "Clapper Rail is larger than Virginia Rail with less distinct barring on the flanks and a paler bill." Birdwatching Academy says, "Virginias are much smaller in size, with more reddish bills. They also have more distinctly gray cheeks." With no comparison available, I still am not sure which one it is.

well, I'm certainly open to being wrong, and like I said, I have no experience in that neck of the woods. But to me it looks big and fairly pale/muted, and the call seems "off" compared to the Virginia's I'm used to@@robertecarpenter
