I love your videos for their simple graphics Just one point: I believe I am correct in thinking the theca cells can't synthesize oestrogens due to their lack of aromatase enzyme. Theca cells make progesterone from cholesterol and convert it to androgens. The androgens are take up by the granulosa cells and converted to oestrogens by the enzyme aromatase. You may well have omitted this for simplicity, but for some exams (e.g. MRCOG) this is an important distinction

theca cells make androgens, due to the lack of aromatase, androgens go to granulosa cells to make estrodiol

I'm a 51-year-old male and I recently got my blood test results. My FSH was 16.8 (clinic's high: 12.4) and LH was 9.9 (clinic's high: 8.6). Are these levels being higher than the clinic's marked highs something to be concerned about?

I heard someone say high sensory stimulation or loud music can release gonadotropins in the body. They said it would have effect a young man’s developing sex drive. How does all this work, and how true is this?
