I can see you going into women's health. Since you're someone who doesn't mind being open and you're such a great communicator, those are the kind of women health doctors we need! Someone to trust with the more sensitive and vulnerable, sometimes embarrassing and even scary health problems.

I seriously think you would make the greatest OB/GYN. Your joy is disarming, your compassion is incredible, and your desire to learn is inspiring. As a physician I feel that you would know your crap but never hesitate to listen and do your very best to understand your patients viewpoint. I think they would feel comfortable asking their questions and receiving your input, knowing that you have only their best interest in mind. Your videos are medicine for my heart. You are radiant, Rachel. Your sweet spirit shines through you so brightly, I hope you never lose that.

You're really glowing this block. I'm so happy you found something you're really really truly interested in. Can totally see you as an OBGyn tbh. Probably an OBGyn specialist too. That'd be exciting. I love anything that has to do with bones and joints and immunity. That's probably why I'm so interested in Ortho and (on the spectrum) Rheumatology.

Omg! I could totally see you doing obgyn ! I’m not in med school, I’m actually just aboyt to start undergrad. But i want to go into medicine and I love that obgyn is a specialty with surgery, procedures, clinic and call. You get a bit of everything.

someone someone yeah that’s true! I finished high school at 18 and went straight to medical school. Our med school is 5 years long though instead of 4 :)

the longer you’re in med school, the more you look like a doctor 😭

I totally get it. All through my journey through nursing school nothing stood out. Then I started a clinical in L&D and I knew immediately it was what I wanted to do. For many years I was really happy then found myself searching again and landed in emergency medicine. L&D prepared me heavily and I've never regretted my choices. Glad u found ur passion. It feels so great.

I fell in love with repro and OBGYN during 1st year too and I'm so excited to get to rotations next year and see if it's really what I want to go into! I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I do.

Your consistent positivity keeps me so motivated, especially during quarantine, and really helps give me perspective when i'm feeling unmotivated. Thanks for sharing your med school journey! I am actually a biochem prof at a smaller university where I teach and do research and generally work with lots of undergrads. Most of my students are interested in med school and since I didn't go to med school, channels like yours are really helpful to get a sense of what the process is so I can share that with my students! I'll also be pointing them in your direction!

OH gosh OB is so hard but it's sp fascinating and wait until you got to see and participate in the delivery. The emotions from both moms and dads, the process of the baby try to get out, the aftermath workup. IT IS AMAZING! but I hate that class so much hahaha
