Hello Colin, great vid, good to see your channel, like you I am an ardent Tamyia fan, currently building the 6x4 Tipper. I love detail and add quite a bit of customisation. I believe RC needs the drivers and cab interiors, so I endeavour to maintain the original interiors and include the MFC's, not always easy as you mention in one of your later vids with the Beier system. Having found your channel, I will now go through all your vids. I recently built the Knight Hauler and flatbed trailer. I have the tanker trailer in a box ready and also the CC02 Land Rover in the queue .. fun times ahead. well done and keep up your good work.

Hello Derek. Thank you for your kind words. It's a small world; I've just built a 6x4 Tipper and an 8x4 Tipper. Next build is a Knight Hauler and tanker trailer.

@@tamiyatruckbuilding7426 I am sure you will appreciate the Knight Hauler, it looks good and has much more space to include some personal touches. As mentioned, I love to add detail and apparent realism, these are after all scale models of the original. I like you am now retired, in my case from an engineering career, and like you I have always enjoyed modelling, including 3D CAD models during my working life, but to build, and use the functionality of models is very rewarding, not so different from my old Meccano days. May the hobby continue to bring you satisfaction and thanks for sharing your experiences.

Don't forget, spray paint for models is different from spray paint for cars. The actual pigment is about 100 times finer, allowing for much better resolution of fine detail in your model. This, along with the added cost of less paint per container results in a more expensive paint. My recommendation, would you risk your very expensive model's finish for the sake of a few extra pounds? Not me!
