Electric cars cannot become widespread. It is impossible. There are not enough rare earth metals and other resources required to produce the electronics. Steam-powered cars are possible but quite ineffective for most purposes. We’re stuck with gas cars for now. Space colonization is a farce for the manchild masses. We are never leaving this planet. We’re never going to get off of the use of Crude oil. Fossil fuel has a plethora of uses. Everything you use, from cars, phones, building material, planes, computers is all from plastics. And all those solar panels? Wind farms? Hydroelectric dams? All of those need crude oil to be built in the first place. And they need to be maintained with it. And your electric cars? They require crude oil to be manufactured. And oil is used to power the electric stations which are used to charge them. And oil will be used to put them in a landfill when the batteries for them die off. Get real.

I'm Canadian, and I can confidently tell you that our government assured us that we have a military presence in our northern territories as well. We've allocated one helicopter, built around the 70's, with an accompaniment of 2 pilots and 6 soldiers. In order to place that helicopter there, we unfortunately had to reduce the pension funds of our ailing and wounded veterans.

The thing is, if you are pro peace, you need to support the military, because like it or not, the same people that create wars enforce/keep peace. Being against NATO will only increase the risk of war, and lets say we do demilitarize and get rid of NATO, you expect Russia to do the same? Or do you expect them to take advantage of that and go in to a country/nation without resistance?

Getting rid of NATO and demilitarizing are two different things. You need an army, and it should be the toughest one you can muster. You need alliances. You should have as many as possible provided they are predicated on peace. NATO however, is different. It has become an offensive alliance with a longterm strategy of expansion and growth. Let me ask you a question - suppose the dangers from Russia and China disappeared overnight. Would NATO disappear too? If not, then we might have a bigger problem on our hands.

None the less, Under specific conditions, it was widely suspected a much larger conflict could erupt.Tthe only reason no full conflict happened with russia is zelensky appeared to want a diplomatic resolution right up until 2022. It was was only after zelensky walked away from minsk 2 that diplomacy was shut down and war inevitably broke out. It seemed sudden, but it well known to US and others Russia would escalate under those conditions. (I don't think it would surprise many what the meeting between the US and Zelensky the day before he dropped from minsk2 was about)

@@cuanmccarogher180 i would say he is more talking about the conditions they would have to fight in as most of the casualties would be from the environment. artic and alpine units are generally special units bulk of fighting forces aren't trained to fight where you need to know how to survive before you can be trained to fight as well e.g you cant just light a fire to keep warm as that would get you spotted eg ww2 Battle of the Bulge,Bastogne where you would then be subject to motors, artillery, air strike, machinegun fire, etc..

Instead of getting to the heart of the issue with real journalists, the prior is exactly what they do. Here’s an example. Instead of sending a journalist to Russia and Ukraine to get to the root of the issues and get both sides deeply held beliefs, they bring on some systemized Harvard graduate they’ve labeled “expert” to connect the dots from 5,000 miles away based upon literature they vehemently studied. Also known as their opinion…instead of laying out the facts and letting us formulate our own opinions the mainstream gives us theirs. People like us have to work hard to get just the facts. Here’s a fun fact, now doing your own research is considered radical by our media’s standards.

Oil or more specifically energy directly correlates to driving economic growth in a country's economy. Would it be so simple for the world to focus on big issues concerning the human race but unfortunately we do not live in the times or reality where that is possible. It's a domino affect since countries are going to update their military equipment as things get better or see that a neighbor has the new shiny weapon and want one for themselves. And 2. @@allrightsreserved3237 The nuclear testing has been largely underwater, underground or done in remote areas. The radio-active fallout has induced cancers by the millions over time. Just a known consequence that can even predict the number of deaths associated with any nuclear release.

These tensions have been hightened by NATO's wanton disregard of Russia's expressed security concerns about NATO's expansion closer to Russia's borders since 1999, despite guarantees from former US Secretary of State James Baker in 1990 and former US president Bill Clinton in 1993 that "NATO won't expand eastwards".

They didnt cover the russian side so what are you referring to, everything western is only guessing when it comes to russia....

I would say that just because militarization is scary does not mean it's not necessary. A huge deterrent to war is actually having a large military, as crazy as that is to say - it is true.

They should just cooperate with eachother rather than throwing away resources
