Ойындар

This episode is like no other, Gamology buddies Cameron and Israel are back together for a special video, this time they will rank the most realistic gameplay they have watched from the very beginning of their time in Gamology. Did they age well, are they happy with the way they looked on these videos, how much have their thoughts changed for specific gameplay, will they react the same way that they did before?
It is a very fun and intriguing episode, with many spontaneous and funny moments. Watch it and find out how Cameron and Israel ranked your favorite videogames.

If you or your squad wanted to play the game where you can most realistically recreate a military operation, Arma 3 is by far the clear winner. Squad is great, but Arma 3 has an unbelievably more amount of content in the vanilla game and an INSANE amount of mods. Base game already gives larger landscapes, more (customizable) load outs, more vehicles, etc. and mods can provide those things for literally any other time period. The only downside to Arma really is the limitations of the older game engine. Arma 4 will (hopefully) take milsims to the next level.

Insurgency Sandstorm is really great. The problem it has is that on PC there is a severe lack of communication and it has degraded into a run and gun COD like experience. The weapons are very realistic, but the lack of coordination has put it down for me. Tarkov has very realistic weapon and medical systems but then again it sometimes takes over 12-15 rounds of 7.62 just to kill one dude...

This being said, if they showed more of mgs, they'd realise pretty quickly that there is a huge disconnect in realism between the two. Splinter Cell plots have always been believable, well thought-out, realistic and based on real politics. Mgs has some politics, but then they line it with the most batshit insane supernatural sci-fi Kojima crap they can muster, and all attempts at realism are squashed under the weight of a cardboard box fooling trained soldiers.

The reason I'd have it just below those 4 is the insane amount of realistic detail in both the campaign and multiplayer. Everything from the way watches are positioned, and the audible sound of a trigger being pulled, to the acoustics in different environments and the photogrammetry in the environments.

One thing to consider about Arma 3 is that it's a sandbox game and so gameplay can vary. It's really up to the players and content creators how realistic they want it to be. The people you play with can make a big difference as well. Another thing to consider is the fact that the game is highly moddable and there are plenty of mods that can make the game a lot more realistic. Squad is even marketed as being somewhere between an arcade shooter and a more serious milsim game like VBS, or what Arma can be.

I'm going to agree with Israel on this list, but Cameron had a good idea to jump straight to #1 once they reached the top tier. I'd also like to give an honorable mention to the _Battlefield_ series for having a combined arms experience (in most entries) on both side of the conflict, which puts it at the peak of the mid-tier "semi-realistic" games (#5) for me, although I see the reasons and agree with the list as it is from a purely infantry perspective.

Would agree with the top 3, but only if no modding is involved. If you use a good variety of realism mods on arma 3 though, it does beat Squad in my opinion, especially if your able to get a full server running a complex campaign with radio's and chain of command mods. Having a sort of Hell let Loose style campaign in arma 3 with one person acting as a platoon command and others in various leading positions, thus creating a semi-realistic chain of leadership to direct and plan each part of your campaigns deployments realy makes arma shine its best in terms of realism and teamwork.

I watch Israel on Twitch butttttt I gotta agree with Cameron on this I think Tarkov needs to be higher someone who has player Escape from tarkov for 3 years now seeing how much it's changed and how accurate it is and how they have actually got the license to put the proper scopes and mags and weapon parts in the game is astounding. Yeah it's a beta right now (it has been since 2014) but it's still way more whole and complete of a game then most released in the last 2 or 3 years.
