love the fact your living room has been the victim of a toy bomb explosion, really made me smile when your children were running to show your wife the scallops. The sea horse was amazing. I remember seeing a vivid purple neon jelly fish in Croatia diving and still one of the best things I have seen (even compared with giant sea turtles in Barbados). Thanks for the uploads Joe

that seahorse was such a surprise!! I thought they are rare and usually hide under the kelp, not on the surface of the sea. just wondering, do you put the shells and the rest of the scallop back to the sea? in japan, the roe and the frilly membrance around the muscle are all edible, especially the frilly part, delicious!! you can try next time.

Scuba dived that area regular 10 years ago for the tastiest bounty in the sea. Just love scallops. What torch were you using Joe? Im after one. Glad to hear the Spearfishing Store has survived (will Barkley be opening a walk in store) and what an amazing encounter with the seahorse. Thanks for sharing

I use 6 kg with at 7mm suit. I am 75kg

Ok Joe, after much consideration, you’ve become my favorite youtube channel. Actually, my “good lady” (as you call your wife) (I’d never heard that before, believe it or not) told me yours was my fave. She decided this after I droned on about your vids and made her watch. So, with that decision behind us, I’ve also decided you need a heavier suit for winter fishing. If DM can go to Norway and rock the fjords with his incessant “hally-boot” screaming nonsense, (no offense Dan. You are the Mann) you can get a bit cold for us land locked folks. I see a 7mm suit and mittens in your future. We’ve seen Barclay’s basement store so I know you can get one. Now get out there and make vids all winter! Soldier on like you Brits do and let’s get-er-done! PS. We really like the timed dives and depth thing on each dive. Dunno why. We just like it. Oh also, Happy Thanksgiving! from the States.

We are scalloping in Devon where there is a limit of 25 if you have a recreational permit. I’m not sure about Cornwall I don’t think you have a limit there 👌

I was really, really impressed by those blue impulse fins. They are leagues ahead of the plastic cressi 200 hf that I started with.

Cook them for about 2 mins each side! 3 max... Good luck with the gun, fingers crossed it arrives soon! Scallops are fine the roe can be dodgy so discard it if in doubt. Gopro!!! Do it mate 👌

Hi Marko. Having loved epsealon suits I noticed a recent decline in the quality. The tactical stealth got wrinkled up and I was cold in the water- If you see my latest video I had to change suit

@@JoePkSpearfishing that's good to know. Thanks for the info. I decided to go with beuchat espadon prestige in 7mm. Quality did indeed feel better then Epselaon tactical and it had better finishing around trims I felt. What's your thoughts on Beuchat in terms of quality and comfort ? Cheers !

Yes I do! As long as it isn't totally stormy... winter, mainly crab, lobster, and mullet and shellfish 👌
