Good night Dear friend; I live in BRAZIL my english is very bad but I would like to congratulate you for your work; Your project was the best I found on the internet; I wrote on your page I would love your favor if possible and of course; And I am unable to work at all for health reasons, but I have some friends who are helping me here; I would like the following if you do not mind; If you have the entire project with the actual measurements of your great project. Thanks in advance, big hug.
Mrmyvids4you could you use metal spacers for the trigger mechanism because we don't have the tools to make the nylon spacers?
Thank you very much for the video and please tell us how to print or draw pieces of the trigger

Hello Ahmed Hamed, making the plans available will not be possible, however i can give some overall dimensions from the trigger mechanism and the spearguns. - The trigger housing dimensions= 13x30x65mm, wall thickness: 2mm Trigger and Sear= 5mm thick. All made from 316 grade stainless steel Some of my channel viewers told me, that by using any free screen recorder program to take "screen shots" from some of my videos, and then using a image editing program like "windows PAINT" to scale the images to get the right sizes. Watch the video "Roller Speargun Design Model" kzread.info/dash/bejne/kaWFuql-l9qboJs.html at 1:03 is possible to see a side view of the trigger mechanism. Overall dimensions of the spearguns. The roller speargun: 1200mm long (end to end) 950mm from the centre of the rollers to the edge of the trigger pocket 50mm wide --------- Traditional speargun, 1200m long 950mm from the edge of the rubber bands hole to the trigger pocket 50mm wide from the but plate to the end of the trigger pocket and tapering down to 40mm at the tip (muzzle) I used Okoume Marine Plywood laminated together with epoxy, but a much better choice will be to use Teak Wood. Thanks for the comment and for watching my videos.

It would be possible to show the trigger assembly process with a part of the open case only to see how the assembly is inside to see how the mechanism of the spring acts on the other parts, a top view without one of the parts of the case. this a great and wanderfull job precicion

Hello gerlain Lopes visit my channel "Mrmyvids4you" and watch the video: "Speargun Trigger mechanism" Thanks for the comment and for watching my videos.
That's a lot of man hours ya spend right there bro. I think it will help a lot if the housing be of two parts like the stock part of a revolver and the cover. Much easier to install the pins and parts too. But thanks for the effort though. Helped me a lot to know that kind of trigger assembly works.

Epic mechanism, the pressures you could put on that thing would be huge compared to most plastic ones. What about the line release clip though?

+Burmschma Zchmikla Hello, it will be independent from the trigger, visit my channel a watch the video called "roller speargun 3D model" Thanks for the comment and for watching my videos!
I see that you're holding the end mill in the drill chuck when milling. I used to do the same until I bought a couple of collets, 4-16mm. They all have a morse taper nr. 3, so they will fit right into the spindle of my drill press/mill. A drawbar is used to firmly hold the collet in the spindle and to lock the end mill in the collet. Using collets instead of a chuck significantly reduce the vibration in the machine, especially when milling steel or other hard metals

Hello Benny 8025, unfortunatly my drill press is very small and doesn´t have a hole for a drawbar, either! thanks for the comment and my congratulations for your channel

Im building on a simple rubber band powered crossbow, actually its more like a Speargun. Right now im searching for a simple trigger mechanism for it, but i dont have the tools for metal work like you have, its gonna be made of wood. Great Vid, very intresting, keep on doing this!

Hello Burmschma Zchmikla This is a very basic trigger mechanism design, definately stronger compared to some pastic designs, however i hope tha the trigger pull won`t be too heavy! I decided not to incorporate a line release clip in the trigger to simplify the design, for the firt time building something like this is always better to keep things as simple as possible! maybe on the next trigger design! Thanks for watching my videos!

@MrMyvids4you
10 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the advise, i do agree springsteel is the best choice, i have two spearguns, my oldest one is over 30 years old, the shaft is made from springsteel and after all of this time i never had any major problems, aside from the rust that it gets if i forget to coated with oil. The other is 4 years with a stainless steel shaft, that constantly needs sharpening and it gets bent everytime it hits a rock!

Amazing what you can do with just a drill press and a belt sander! I'd be afraid to see what you could do if you got your hands on a CNC. The final product looks great. I would ask if you would make them for sale, but with prob 20+ hrs into each one I don't think they are in my budget.
