Spearfishing Madagascar - Spear Junkies Episode 5 "Madagascan Mayhem"

In Part 2 of the Spear Junkies Madagascan adventure, host Cris Dillon, along with his guests, Johan Potgieter and Niall Cameron experience the thrills of the famous Castor Banks. Captain Paul Jorge finds a favourable current hitting an area called 'Wall-n-All,' one of Coatesman’s favourite spots for introducing spearfisherman to the Dogtooth Tuna.
'Wall-n-All' is home to hundreds of Dogtooth in the 15-30kg range, perfect for learning how to hunt this species. However, with just as many Grey reef Sharks circling the waters, the consequences of a badly placed shot are catastrophic.
Some epic Sailfish action sees some of the team earn their ticks and Cris calls it the most fun he has ever had.

What do you normally do to store fish when on a live-a-board like this ? Does the boat have an underground fish hold/ice box etc or is it just filleted on the spot ? There must be hundreds and hundreds of kgs of fish to store in the boat untill you get back to land ?

We do fillet and freeze. We obviously eat some and we do give fish away when we can at sea to local fisherman. This is mot always available in this area but we did come across some fisherman on this trip. We do actually not shoot as much fish as you would think. We never ever throw fish away.

You mean the Timberline gun? Or the carbon barrels. All the Rob Allen guns are excellent. The carbon barrels are made in-house and are super strong and reliable.Like everything Rob Allen.
