The word translated "tongues" in our English Bible just means languages. It doesn't mean hitting your literal tongue all over your mouth. My wife told me about this kind of stuff. I am a Bible believing and professing Christian and was a regular church goer up until this shutdown garbage, but this does not look useful to me. The kids are very uncomfortable. I have never seen Christians behave like this. I would rather sit quietly listening to a learned and convicted preacher than this any day.

They need to read 1 Corinthians 14. Speaking in tongue is not around anymore

People who have not received the Holy Ghost/speaking in tounges cannot understand the pure joy and direct connection to God these people are feeling. This makes me happy to see the ones not embarrassed to give God the glory.

Don't be fooled by this... This looks like blasphemy.

I feel very sorry to those people who are sitting and watching them acting like a crazy lunatic. They should go to a better Bible-believing Church that is winning the lost with the Free Grace Gospel of Christ and doing Hard Preaching in the pulpits

The biblical way is to have one speak in tongues in a church meeting and another to interpret. The rest of the church is to remain silent! Paul said that if everyone is speaking in tongues at the same time and an unbeliever came in, they would think that all of the church had lost their minds. The other biblical way is to speak in tongues outside of a church meeting, in the world, for it is a sign to unbelievers. After getting on a bus, there was one other person sitting down at the other end of the bus. I felt like praying in tongues, so I did. This passenger turned round and said, "You speak Spanish" (I was excited at this!) I said, "No. What did I say? The passenger told me that I was glorifying God in Spanish!!!

Is the lady in the purple that is speaking in tongues,still serving GOD ?

1cor 14:27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, two--or at the most three--should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God. Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. I take issue with this type of church. I do believe their good Godly people who mean well but their arrogance in the spirit is cringe worthy And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.

I agree. I just left a church that was similar to this. I went for a few months and it was getting more and more intense with moments like this. Upon a deeper and non biased study of 1 Corinthians 14 I realized it was disorderly and being abused. I felt like their intentions were well and they really were crying out to the Lord but they weren't doing things in an orderly way. Many are probably faking it to "fit in" too. One guy at that church would always repeat the same 2 letter word over and over. "Bababababa".

God spoke, and in all the dimensions of the Bible, never has it been said, put to paper or passed on vis the Angels, that there is a secret type of language, or heavenly tongue we will speak in Gods kingdom or here on earth, nor do we need that tongue here on earth, for if so, then Jesus would been the demonstrator and teacher of that tongue.
