Nice to hear a living person who met all these greats and can tell the stories
They probably didn’t realize it at the time but they were making history, and now these recounts are extremely valuable.
damn ... left hook by Joe Frazier thrown like a sledge hammer ...
This bloke is the champ, he fought all the legends more times then they fought each other . Champion of the world.

What a total legend. A great story teller, is Stan. Lived it to know it to tell it.

Foreman wasn't trying to hurt him man was breaking concrete blocks for fun
Ali kept taking those body shots from Joe but never let anyone around know the pain he felt!I can only keep adulating this man!I wish I had 5% of his heart and spirit!Like our friend (Rocky)Stallone says "it ain't how hard you can hit but how hard you can be hit but keep coming back!" or something like that!

I also think people don't give him enough credit for how skilled he was. Probably the strongest heavyweight p4p and perhaps the hardest hitting. Just check out what his opponents and sparring partners said about him. And he started late so by some estimations, he was close to 40 when he fought Ali and he fought him with a bad shoulder which was confirmed by 8 independent doctors after the fight
@ang.etrav747

@@user-dz4ty5tj7qhe was 44-46 yrs old when he fought Ali His DOB was made up only when he started boxing after prison release. He was 31-33 already when he started boxing officially His elder sister and two of his older brothers all said he was born just right after the Great War (World War 1) And they assume it to be somewhere around 1919-1921
Great interview! One of the best shorts I've watched...Good job..

So, the way she startled(very little) and smile after he either touch her lower back or pinch her or took something and smacker her with it or maybe she into some dude touching her butt(but even so this is not how you react). 99,9% no ass touching. If that was the case i DEMAND the video. For a friend of course!

He would have given today's top guys a lot of trouble
This guy is also very true 2 life as a revealer of information, I really dig the way you spoke, he was a sparring partner and he still Sharp and I appreciate how he broke down what he said about the three boxers, I appreciate how he broke it down he told you the truth about Joe Louis the white power structure just wanted to mold him just the opposite of Jack Johnson he was marketable so they couldn't deny his spot in the ring so this guy Stan is giving it to you out of Black age respect he's trying to tell you you can't go wrong with either one of those three and Jack Johnson was first in the oldest, so I can dig that
Llved in Maitland Australia home of Les Darcy a very underrated middleweight and now in Atherton and the owner of the pub in the main street Jack Nasser has a photo of his Grandfather 1906 in full boxing pose a most imposing figure and when I asked Jack about his grandad he told me how he'd sparred with Jack Johnson and not once hit him always rated Ali the best but watching Johson box makes me doubt reflexes like a cat but faster
I wonder,prefer - seeing,hearing from Champs.....One eyed humble, gladiator Joe Frazier.

I WOULD put Charles "Sonny" List on at Number One !! He was a frightening,terrifying tsunami of power, aggression and imperviousness of pain which only subsided when he got old and was still fighting.Ask Chuck Wepner.He was Sony's last opponent and post fight spent 3 days in hospital as his body had gone into shock.Chuck said List on was the hardest,toughest and most powerful boxer he had ever fought and after Chucks 128 fights,the only man who ever hurt him.

Take nothing away from Jack Johnson for his time the guy was one of the best ever to do it, But you have to remember alot of the guy's he fought we're so much smaller totally different weight classes but in those day's you could get away with fighting a guy 20/30 pounds smaller - Joe Louis was an all time great and certainly makes a all time top 5 list, For me the best ever HW'S 1 ) Ali, 2 ) A prime Holmes, 3 ) Lewis

Frazier was way faster and had more snap on his punches, George just liked to bludgeon the other guy, hardly any technique but throwing arm punches when your that big pretty much means you can knockout anyone. If you've seen facing Ali you can see his quote "next to Frazier this was the hardest I ever been hit" when it's showing shavers.
@lukasbarnes

He was quicker and had a better left hook. Overall power might’ve been greater due to his speed but he definitely wasn’t stronger than gerige

It's the ones you don't see coming that hurt the most. Yeah, Foreman may have greater punching power. But you can see them coming. Of cause they still would @#$+*/) hurt LoL, But at least you could brace for impact. If you're relaxed due to not seeing the punch, that's the punch that would hurt the most.
If you think joe Frazier hit harder than George foreman i know you've been hit too much.
