Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 on being a collaborator! It’s a big thing! You earned it with your creativity ❤❤❤❤ So many ideas! I think I will try it this year. Loved your idea of making a zine, scanning and printing.

You did a great job of listing things that could inspire non junk journalers. As you were talking my brain kept going. Crochet fans could make a granny square a day, embroiderers could perfect a stitch or motif a day etc etc etc... I myself am trying again to do more than just a few pages this time around. If I get really short on time I will make a tag, a journal/index card, an ATC or just alter a playing card to suit the prompt instead of a journal page.

thank you so much! 🧡 i love expanding the ways we can user prompts and sometimes thinking that way even helps us come up with ideas related to junk journaling in the first place. love the idea of a granny square per day! I have found that given how busy I am, I haven't been able to actually collage every day but I'm writing my haiku every day and then on Saturday will try to set out a day to collage for an hour or two.

I am going to try to do as much as I can. I have made my accordion booklet for July. I have never done anything like this with certain prompts for each day. I kept mine on the smaller side 6” approximately square. I figured less stress filling up a big page but also a little space to write. I have lost my soft brush black pen I write with. I have my husband on the hunt. I also would like to have a white speedball pen and maybe if I can find a pink jelly pen. That goes with the theme. I have a ton of scraps and bigger paper I can use if needed. I loved the idea of adding a short tag and I’m going back to my journal and want to add at least one. Also somehow when making it I glued two pages together so now I have a top loading pocket by chance! Maybe it’s supposed to be there. I don’t know! We will see how it goes! Good luck to everyone!!!! Dawn

I am also trying to just show up where I can and not pressure myself to create every single day. I absolutely love accordion journals!! Have you been able to find your soft brush black pen?

While I don't set time limits or other constraints, I totally believe in stretching a prompt to its limit. They are simple a spring board for your creativity.

Yes absolutely!! And constraints like that are also just another way to help anyone who may need it, if the weight of so many options makes it overwhelming, but end of the day a prompt really is just a springboard ✨

I'll be joining JJJ for the first time. New to journaling, a tiny bit scared but excited as well. I loved your akkordeon journal with the watercolor spreads and deli paper like writing connecting the pages. Love it!❤ See you there!

I am not a junk journaler, but when it comes to collage, I'm right there with you. Next month will be the 5th time I've participated - I just really enjoy responding to the prompts, which gets me out of my comfort zone. My only self-imposed rule is that I can't buy anything new; everything that goes into making and filling the journal has to come from my stash. That's as close as I get to "junk," I suppose! I enjoyed your video. Thank you.

yesss !! i wouldn't consider myself much of a junk journaler either but i am a tad obsessed with collage so that's usually my go to style for these challenges. do love the rule of not buying anything new and just using what you have. i think ill stick to that a well. glad you enjoyed the video, thanks so much for commenting

I had made a file folder suitcase with Faithful Designs with Christy and I didn't know what to do with it; so I'm using it for the junk journal july event. I had some paper/ephemera left over, so, like you suggested, I set it aside for the JJJ event. Using the prompt to look up on Spotify for music to inspire you is a great idea! I really appreciate you helping us get ready for the JJJevent! Thanks!

they really are so much fun! i think haiku's are great for anyone, even non-poets, cause the form is fairly simple. and i think they're a great way to memory keep abstractly. do let me know if you end up writing any! 🧡
