The best breed ever, we got Tana at 8 months as our first dog. At first he was difficult as he came from a home that no longer wanted him, but he still loved his original family. Over many months he came to be part of our family and he loves us as much as we love him. Now life would not be the same with out him.

@@eg-draw well the Spanish water dog looks slightly different than the Portuguese and are slightly smaller. (Idk about the Italian)

Only very little.

the spansih waterdogs does not come in tricolors. then its not pure breed. and you should cut the hair, especially in the winter, because the snow will make long hair more matted

I don't care for the look of their coat. I'm surprised that it needs little care.

What a difference from the Poodle or Portuguese Water dog coat, which needs to be trimmed regularly. And they look very similar.
