Quiero que te hables mas en ingles. Wow Paula this lesson us a hard one for me. I am not really understanding everything you are saying. But that is OK because I like a challenge. I was able to pick out the phrase "cinco verbos" which I think means five verbs. I know some of these verbs already, especially "quiero", "necesito" and "busco". Prefiero and espero are a little harder but I have seen them before. So I for the idea that these five are if the "W" type in the acronym weirdo. Thanks for at least giving us subtitles for the sentences in english that is a big help. To give you a better idea of the level I am at right now I have completed the first of the five levels of duo lingo. This means that I have been exposed to around 4,500 words in that program. I don't remember all of them all the time but it seems to come.back to me when I try to take one of my skills up to the second or green level. I have been at it for 200 days now. Well that is all for now, but the more english you put In the easier it will make it for us on a lower level to understand you. I notice that just about all your commenters comment in Spanish. I can not understand very much of what they say. I will practice making a few practice sentences in subjunctive in my next comment. Thanks for all you do for us.

I know how you feel. I haven’t figured out what’s better for my audience. Many of my subscribers ask me to speak in Spanish and others in English. It’s really hard to find a balance and to pleased everyone. Keep it up, I know sooner than later you’ll be able to understand more and more. Your example is good 👏🏻, just remove “te” or change it for “tú”.

Is there a difference between “Necesito que vengas” and “Te necesito vengas”? I figured out that “Quiero que” has to be used in order to not be confused with “Te quiero (I love you”, but does the “que” do something different to “necesito” that avoids some kinda confusion from “Te necesito”?

Hola Paula, Gracias por eso. Yo tengo una pregunta en la forma correcta de subjunctivo. Si hay solo un subjecto pero hay dos verbos que digamos? Por ejemplo, Tu quieres que tu compres flores? Ejemplo 2, Que quieres que hagas?

Excelente pregunta. Si es el mismo sujeto en estos casos vamos a utilizar el infinitivo como segundo verbo. Tus ejemplos quedarían así: - ¿Tú quieres comprar flores? (Do you want to buy flowers?) - ¿Qué quieres hacer? (What do you want to do?) Y uno más, para ver la diferencia con un cambio de sujeto: - ¿Qué quieres que haga? (What do you want me to do?) ¡Hola! Acá el segundo sujeto está un poquito oculto (hidden), sería “el clima”. Sin embargo, hay algunas palabras o frases que utilizan el subjuntivo aunque no haya un segundo sujeto. Por ejemplo cuando usamos “ojalá”.
