Just a hint from an old man. Never shoot one handed from a rest don't rest it on the bag. The bag is for the back of your hand firmly grasping the forearm of the stock. Watch your groups tighten.

Thank you for the video. I had a M44 (spanish air force model). I didn't keep as it was very rough, yours looks very nice. These M43/44 were modeled on the Mauser Standard, a short rifle developped for export during the 30s that inspired the k98 too. Spain received a lot of Standard Model during the Civil War. I noticed on my M44 that some small parts had german markings. So Spain probably reused parts from older Mauser when they made these M43/44.

Got one and had it reblued. Slight pitting on the surface. Safety checked, looks great. Stock is a little rough, but no cracks or gouges..gonna resend and restrain the stock. It will look brand new. Mine is 1944 issue.

Have one of these but mine is mint brand new, its one of the inter cartridge models. So when Spain changed to the 7.62 NATO they made factory fresh M43's so the soldiers could learn the new cartridge, this is before Spain had the cetme. Like I said its brand new mint, hell its still covered in cosmoline.

Why all American put the clip with the Hand off? After push the bullets in the magazine, you can "slide" the first round to the chamber and the clip will Fall automaticly down...🤔

I just got one of these suckers in great condition, but it is missing the cleaning rod. Do you have any idea which one it uses? I bought one that was the proper length, but the threads are too large for the rifle.

I think if you search Spanish M43 cleaning rod it should pop up online

@@jebclark3988 oh I tried that. I did finally find a forum where someone mentioned it uses the same as a Brazilian rifle.

Hi . Could you tell me the length of the ramrod? My copy does not have it and I know that from 98k it is too short. I have an M44 but I guess it doesn't matter.
