Thank you so much for the lessons! I am glad that I found lessons for Castellon. I live in the US, so until I found your channel all I could learn was Latin American Spanish. I do need some pointers. I mostly get the ceceo, mostly. But like the letters “b” & “v,” what is the rule for when they make which sounds? Like: “bebemos” or “bevemos?” Or is it like “vevmos” like “cerbeza” with its first “c” sounding like an “s” but the second one has the “th” sound. Can you make a lesson which addresses grammar issues? Otherwise, I totally am enjoying your channel!!
@spanishwithpablo
6 жыл бұрын
Well, for the V and B we have this: The V is always prounounced like a SLIGHT B, not as hard as the B but not as an English V , how hard it sounds like a B depends on the region. When I call David it sounds like DaBid. This is from my personal point of view and native Castilian experience..The I googled and found this: "Both b and v are pronounced using a sound that is not used in English, called a bilabial approximant. This sound is produced like an English v, but while the English v is produced by touching your upper teeth to your lower lip, the bilabial approximant is produced by touching your upper lip to your lower lip - like what you would do to pronounce an English b, except that an English b is a stop, not an approximant."
