I tried to learn Spanish a year ago. And all I can say is ¡Y, gracias! And, I’m only 18 years old. They said when you start to learn young, you can retain almost all you learnt. Well, it looks like I’m old enough now. I have numbers of grandkids already, ya know. It’s sad, but I’ll try to learn it if I can. ¡Adios! Lo siento self.

Ok, the ladies were speaking Spanish at the beginning of the video, then they give the English translations, but why'd they leave some of what they said out? The woman said "bien, pero mucho frio" (good, but I'm very cold) Then after the other lady says "Quieres tomar algo" (do you want a drink) the taller lady says something I can't make out...

OnThat Day He says "¿de dónde eres?". And "¿de dónde es?" is correct anyway, it's just the formal way (usted es).

It’s funny how everyone is saying “I understood everything!”. Great! But these actors are bilingual and probably grew up in the states. They have an English accent when they speak spanish. You go to places in Colombia and Peru and find that there spanish is unintelligible (to you).

Gee thanks for the encouragement, but still for someone who's been learning Spanish for two weeks it feels good to understand the very clear words it just means I need train my ear to decipher what the natives say, I'm a native Arabic speaker and my dialect is unintelligible even to other arabs(lack of exposure + speed in talking) sooo I'll just have to get used to it

The thing is, as soon as you start to speak spanish as a non native they will immediately recognize it and slow way down to your level. 90 percent of spanish speakers love it when they see gringos trying to learn spanish. At least here in the USA ive always found it to be the case.
