I have been hoping to speak with someone from Equatorial Guinea for a long time. In this video I had the opportunity to speak with Santiago. He has a channel titled @EYAMAA that is an amazing look into life in Equatorial Guinea. It is also a great way to practice your Spanish listening skills using accents that are different from the ones that we're accustomed to hearing. I was shocked a few years ago to find out that the Spanish language is not only spoken in Central/South America and Europe. I had no idea that the small West African country of Equatorial Guinea was filled with over a million African Spanish speakers. I hope you learn as much as I have from this video. I plan to visit Santiago next year in Africa after my trip to Europe. Wish me luck!

Hace tiempo que esperaba hablar con alguien de Guinea Ecuatorial. En este video tuve la oportunidad de hablar con Santiago. Tiene un canal titulado @EYAMAA que es una mirada increíble a la vida en Guinea Ecuatorial. También es una gran manera de practicar tus habilidades auditivas en español usando acentos que son diferentes a los que estamos acostumbrados a escuchar. Me sorprendió hace unos años descubrir que el idioma español no solo se habla en América Central/Sur y Europa. No tenía idea de que el pequeño país de África occidental de Guinea Ecuatorial estaba lleno de más de un millón de hispanohablantes africanos. Espero que aprendas tanto como yo con este video. I had an african diaspora class in 2013 and ask the professor if there was any country in africa that spoke spanish and that's when I found out about this country. I've been telling people about it ever since. Also I purchased your book -- so far so good. I've been on this journey since 2014, not fluent yet. Not giving up!

@@MikeBen like enyama say to much corruption in my country, but people there are very friendly, if u go to ecuatorial guinee, don't limit in the big city's, go to the village find someone that can guide u to the village, u will see a lot of our culture, we are bantú, there are fans, kombes, bubis, anoboneses, u don't see a lot of culture in Malabo or bata, but in the villages, I like the unite states, here In Miami there are people of every corner of the world and u can learn something from every culture, and I can see the spirit African American have is the one that missing in Africans, and also Africans have something that Africans Americans need to learn,

I know for a surety my dna roots are from the island of Bioko (Bubi). My dad and I was in phone conversation in 2001. He briefly mentioned EG twice while talking. He passed in 2002. My brother took the AfricanAncestry dna (paternal) 2021. His results returned to us being 100% from the island. Just a confirmation to what my dad said in 2001. Do you know how elated I was? I have seen at least 3 people on these videos that look like 1) my dad's features 2) my granddaughter 3) and EYAMAA you look like my twin son. Passed in 2022! Oh the strong features!! I miss my son so much. Nevertheless, my people are definitely from Bioko - Malabo! Shalom! I'm currently learning Spanish and Bubi!!! Quite interesting. I hope to visit my people/my country!!

Wow what an interesting connection there. I can see a lot of resemblance in the Equatorial Guineans and people I see everyday here in the states so the history there must be deep. Que sigas aprendiendo y que un dia vayamos alla para conocer!

En el Sahara ocupado (por Marruecos principalmente), en algunos lugares de Marruecos (que fueron parte de España hasta hace relativamente poco), hay gente que habla castellano (además del árabe u otra lengua local, si son marroquíes)

@EYAMAA, Santi correccion ,Sao TOME no esta cerca de la capital mas bien esta cerca de ANNOBON, y los Annoboneses con los de SAO TOME se entienden perfectamente incluso con el idioma, ya que ambos fueron colonizados por lo portugueses,y la lengua de ANNBON es un criollo del PORTUGUES.

Solo hay un país africano muy pequeño que se conquistó España. Hay mucho más africanos en otros países donde se hablan francés, inglés y portugués. Hay muchos inmigrantes de ecuatorial guine en España. Por ejemplo, la cantante española que se llama Concha Buika, tienen padres que vinieron de ese país.

Otra cosa lo digo por experiencia agunos negros norteamericano no les gusta que les digan "Afroamerican" se molestan y me dijo con mucho orgullo " I am Black American" El Cubano se siente orgulloso de ser Afrocuban" Otra cosa Algunos negros norteamericanos se enojan cuando un Afro Caribeno habla Espanol, Los negros Dominicanos, Cubanos de Belice que son bilingues. Ellos hablan Espanol. Otra cosa el deporte Rey de EU es el Beisbol y en Grandes Ligas El Negro Latino son los peloteros mas destacados..

Guinea Ecuatorial con algo más del doble de superficie que Katar y casi la misma población debería su población tener un nivel de vida de los mayores del Mundo, debido a la riqueza que generan los pozos de petróleo. ¿Los beneficios de esa riqueza a dónde va…?, porque la mayoría del pueblo está en la pobreza.

Creo que es igual a decir "como" o "o sea" depende del contexto
Creo que los Guineanos pueden optar a la doble nacionalidad,la Guineana y la española,así estarían de lleno en la Unión Europea,pasa igual que muchos Saharauis,algunos conservan el DNI y pueden venir a tener los mismos derechos que cualquier español,entre ellos pertenecer a la UE....
