My Dad used to make these tall ships in model form all the rigging and details took him months of detailed work. I have the Black Pearl at home. There is a video on youtube Model Ships by Ken Stephenson if anyone wants to see.

Amazing capture, thank you! I got a heck of a surprise about an hour ago when I glanced up from my book and saw a Spanish galleon gliding past my window! (They turned her in the upper harbour before berthing at Dock End.) Bit of Googling revealed all, and of course you were right there with this brilliant video. Well done sir! Arrr!

Wow! A rare sight despite our nautical history. Even when not under sail, its easy to imagine how unstable these vessels are.

I’ve seen her many times over the years but have yet to see her in full sail.
