I'm 80 and i Love this music and the Singer!

This was my mum's favourite song when she was alive. We listened to the Engelbert songs every Sunday in Mauritius. They are wonderful memories

The connection for me is 1968, my father trying to give up smoking, being grumpy and eating a lot of oranges, it was summer in Cape Town and this was on the radio or the gramophone.

Engelbert is returning to Cape Town next month as part of his Farewell Tour ...

In December 1977, my then-girlfriend introduced me to the world of the songs of this immense singer without equal. She and I got married in October 1980, and since then we have been together, having the fortune of have seen Engelbert sing in two occasions. What a personality of singer! My beloved wife and I still enjoy listening to these beautiful songs.

My parents used to dance to this song during my childhood during the 1960s. This song was well known throughout the Caribbean region along with theorist classic love-themed melodies. Englebert’s voice will never be replicated!

Usually spanish eyes are dark and not blue, but those ones are unreal.

My mom loved this man so much and got to see him twice I unfortunately lost her on may 9th 2023 to leukemia 😞. Listening to engelbert made her feel at ease and she told me she’d keep fighting hearing this makes me cry not gonna lie not that he’s gonna see this but Thank you Sir for giving my mom something to keep going for God bless🥹🙏🏻❤️ RIP Momma I miss you so much everyday ❤❤❤

This song,among others,reminds me when my mom would play and replay the Please Release Me album in the late 60's.Engelbert was her favorite english language signer since we are french Canadians.She passed away almost 3 years ago and i kept all of CD and DVD collection of Humperdinck.

I lost my mother 13 yrs ago on this day. She loved this song soo much and Englebert. What beautiful memories this song brings. What a beautiful voice Englebert...

I'm 50 now. my beautiful mum and dad passed away when I was 21. Growing up mum played Engelbert every Sunday while she cooked dinner. I had the most amazing loving mum anyone could want. She had 8 children we were all treated equally with undivided love and attention, of course our fantasic dad did the same Solid stable upbringing. And our faith in the Lord

I lost my dad in April 2022. He used to play Englebert in the car on long drives. This reminds me of him, those drives, and all of the good things I remember about him. What a wonderful song.

Boy did I grow up listening to Engelbert. I just turned 60 this year. My Mom was 17 when I came along. The Walker Brothers, Engelbert Humperdinck, Tom Jones, Elvis Presley, and Roy Orbison music was always playing at my house.

I lost my very best friends both RIP parents mom and dad. They were both no.1 fans of Engelbert Humperdinck and missed both of you so much…I love both you RIP mom and dad…

Yesterday, November 4, 2022, I had the opportunity to take my wife to see Engelbert sing live one more time to celebrate our 42nd. anniversary. This great singer, despite having physical problems, has not lost anything of his great voice. Best of all, my wife was thrilled to see her favorite singer so close to her. Time shouldn't go through this kind of stars that make us happy, and at the same time make us dream awake. I'm 77 now, my great dad passed away when I was 7. I was brought up by my loving mum and aunt. All of them have passed away. I really love these song which remind me of my younger days.

My father loved this song. He used to dance with his granddaughter to this song. He died in 2016 and when I hear this song, I can still see him dancing with his granddaughter. Thank you for posting this video.

My mom was a huge Engelbert fan even got to see him twice And being she was in a wheelchair at that point she was having a blast and singing along. I unfortunately lost her on may 9th 2023 to leukemia I🥺 I go visit her grave and play this song and can’t help the tears I miss you so much mom and I love you forever❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕🙏🏻✝️

Yes, it's very true. It wasn't the color of her eyes that were so breathtaking, it was what was inside them. I could stare into the deep oceans in her eyes everyday, and still find them as stunning as when I saw them for the first time. They are so mesmerizing that it is as if they looked deep into my soul. The emotion in her eyes carried the warmth and life of the sun. I could not take my eyes off of them. I knew, in that moment that the twinkle in her eyes was the most beautiful thing I could ever see.
