@islahartel9304 Yes, true. Somehow, from the highs of 2017 to 2019, both DvD & Jackie fell off their peaks, turning aggressively physical thanks to time spent in WSL. This was the midfield that won the Euro & reached the WC final with technical ability. Roord fills that void nowadays.

But I agree with you, she has to improve her finishing and she will be terrifying. I think part of it is that she does not trust at all her right leg.

España fue muy superior ante una Paises Bajos que sabemos que es un gran equipo, golazo de Jenni cambiandose el balón de pie varias veces, el segundo gol para irnos al descanso 2-0 fue vital, luego es verdad que no tuvimos tanto control, pero tampoco nos crearon ocasiones claras. El tercero para matar el partido cerca del final. Pero siempre se pueden mejorar cosas, Salma le cuesta definir tuvo varias dentro del area y no hubo manera hay que mejorar eso, cuando empiece a meterlas no habrá quien la pare, nos falta a veces tirar a porteria en vez de buscar un regate más, le paso a Salma en la primera parte a pase de Athenea tras recuperar en el area y a Alba Redondo en la jugada del 3-0, tan cerca hay que darle a porteria. Destacar el debut de Vicky Lopez, ya la había visto en la EURO SUB 17 y ayer se la vio segura, con ganas de participar y ofreciendose constantemente para recibir el balón, hay futuro.

With Damaris the Dutch would have more control, and being able to let Danielle van der Donk play more offensively, espec now Pelova was injured. Also, Brugts is a wing-back, but against ESP you know that this will turn out badly with their wing-backs upfront thanks to their dominant game play... Wrong judgement-calls by Jonker, imho.

I usually find Jonker lacking and too conservative. I think Spitse, Martens and Miedema are far from their primes. Groenen was clearly overmatched (the way Aitana wins her back in the second goal was appalling) Damaris would have also given them some threat in set pieces. There is talent in the youth squads, I think it is about time they start to introduce them

@@RespecTheLevYTAgreed, and Brugts should have played in more offensive positions and find a proper left-back. I think Netherlands can play much better. Outside SPain I think they had some of the best midfielders (if we ignore injuries). Damaris, Van de Donk, Roord and Pelova are quality.

?????????? Ona clearly is, but left back? Bacha and Rolfö are way better than Olga to be sincere (Crystal Dunn too, and Mccabe when she plays as leftback too) Karchaoui actually is better leftback than Olga but she's been not at her best lately, so we can argue if Olga would play in a better team probably would perform at the same lvl of Karchaoui and Niahm Charles despite not being better than Olga performs better than Olga

​@@Captainjack019 last season Olga got benched too many times in the first half of the season by Svava (who improved massively last season) and she played many matches as winger by that reason, when Caicedo arrived, Olga had to compete vs both players and they 3 played a balanced quantity of matches as starters she also this season has been playing sometimes really good and sometimes really bad, there's no way to perceive Olga as the best left back Karchaoui has been one of the best players for PSG last 3 seasons, PSG a UWCL semifinalist (21-22) quarter finalist (22-23 and 23-24)

Problem is the lack of depth in top quality in the Dutch squad... of course, Miedema not game-fit (no matter what she says... just watch her leave the field at halftime), Roord injured... Many talents (look at Ajax beating Bayern München and PSG), but for finals and advanced stages in tournaments you need depth in quality.

las defensas de Paises Bajos son normalitas, Janssen es una central con buen pase en largo y aveces sale a cortar bien como ultima defensa pero en las marcas es mala, anticipando es mala, por arriba es blandita Spitse es buena anticipando porque es pivote defensiva y tiene buen fisico, pero al espacio no gana una, si le toca hacer coberturas no llega por velocidad Doekstra es buena con balon pero defensivamente es muy normal tirando a mala

Indeed. However, she is making the correct runs and getting into scoring positions. She is just 20yrs old and is still learning her craft. In a couple of years she will be unstoppable. She doesn't have the strength of a Bunny Shaw, nor versatility. But Bunny is the finished article at 27. Selma at 20 has more "head room" for development than any female forward on the planet.

yeah but she still contributes to create those chances with her runnings, she's still 20 years old and Spain always can use Alba Redondo as the main finisher, so, there's no problem

20 años amigo, España no tiene otra jugadora que ataque tan bien espacios y que sea tan rapida, Alba ataca espacios pero no conduce tan bien ni tiene tanta velocidad en sprint
