@@FactBits361 It's not that hard, there's like 2 kilometers per mile. I think. I don't really know miles. We go back and forth on this often... If we only say miles and feet, people call us dumb Americans (we're dumb Canadians) And saying both makes the video start to feel clunky. No win scenario

Wait.. dark side of the moon is a Pink Floyd album of progressive rock band, but which “dark side” are you talking about. Over a 28-29 day cycle the entire moon goes into and out of a dark side. It changes daily. Do you mean the side of the moon facing away from the earth? It’s not always dark. Half the time it’s light and a quarter it’s full light and the side facing earth is dark.

I think Early digital camera, would be more accurate. The resolution and colour depth of the grain of the film is pretty good.

I love how futuristic the Space X EVA suit looks we’re getting closer and closer to what sci-fi films think what the future looks like.

even if Elon is sometimes really crazy with what he does, he still manages to make great break throughs and innovations expecially when it comes to space travel etc. Sure he probably got big money in mind but it also seems like he is much more efficient with the funds he gets. Great example is that spaceX got 2B$ while another company got 4B$ and spaceX still got more done than the competition with a higher budget xD Who knows maybe they still got a big amount of that money left ;)

@@bluesteel8376I mean imagine if SpaceX / SuitX at that point would create crazy good work gear. Firefighters need breathing equipment and if they should somehow reduce the weight and size of the needed gear and make it easy to put on, that could save some lives. Let alone if the suit had supporting materials that could resist high temperatures so they can just run into the burning buildings, drop some exstinguishing materials on the needed spots, you know to create rescue cooridors. I think the biggest issue is when they need to wear breathing / gas masks against all the smoke. But with those helmets that should give them a great field of view. Maybe I'm just too hyped about those space suits tho but be honest, would be hella cool if firefighters had awesome gear to make rescues easier :D

@@VarmintLP Yes I love the idea of that. It has 2 downsides though; the spaceX suits need to be tethered. And they are also probably much more expensive and all custom made on the individual persons.

I think most people look at the Space X space suit and think it looks too simple, but that is the point, the least amount of parts to get the job done. For 50 years NASA has spent billions of dollars on huge clunky suits that barely function. Along comes Space X and develops a simple, flexible suit for 200,000, and only took them 2 years. Plus they will constantly iterate it and make it better. So in 2 more years they will have an absolute bad ass suit that is highly functional vs NASA taking 10 years to design and another 10 to iterate...

Considering SpaceX progress they have about 10yrs to finish the design. Knowing spaceX i hardly doubt this sleek suit is capable of passing required tests. I hope people set to test them have seen the test data and footage themselves and were not convinced by management 😅

Great update thanks. It leaves me wondering why some commentators are critising the suit claiming its not an EVA suit. I'm wondering now whether is it due to the requirement of an umbilical and not just a tether?

Its capability for Extra Vehicular "Activity" is very limited. Some think SpaceX just outsmarted all the agencies designing these suits.

Resolution has more to do with aperture and manufacturing quality than digital technology, eg. Hubble had the benefit of four decades of advances in computers and they still managed to screw it up

Starship is completely capable of orbit. In its 3rd flight test it reached orbital velocity and altitude, they just didn't keep it there because it wasn't the intention. These are test articles, not production models. You could just read the mission plan instead of hating on something for the sake of being negative.
