Thanks for the playthrough! You do pronounce the "e" in Garske. Almost no one gets it right so don't feel bad!

Hello Casey. In my defense, when we originally recorded the video I did pronounce your name "Garsk-ee." But then, fearing I was wrong, I re-recorded those segments. (Go figure.) Loved the ruleset, BTW. Inexpensive, concise and very playable. Well done sir.

Difficult Terrain: You have to stop once your base is fully immersed. Then what. Do you have to wait until the next turn to move again? Can you then proceed straight through the difficult terrain? Thanks!

@@CaseyGarske Thanks much! I am a 54 year old newbie regarding tabletop games. I had found a couple other previous games quite lengthy and deep into minutia, but space weirdos is the perfect size. You are now five dollars wealthier :-)

I absolutely loved this battle report - super well-paced, great editing (the animations when you were showing off the teams were lord of fun), really helpful that you let us know when rules were forgotten.

This is such a cool game. I got my copy recently and I am enjoying it a lot. Also, I am thinking it could be cool to see a Fantasy version of the game "Dungeon Weirdos" would be a cool name. However, I can imagine that the game can be adapted to a fantasy base skirmish scenario. In any case, these rules are very interesting, I like the flexibility they allow, and the fact that it is very straight forward but with that versatility to Imagin different warbands.

Thank you for sharing this! We recently discovered table top miniatures games but didn’t know which one to pick. So many out there to choose from, but Space Weirdos was recommended through a friend. This game is easy to understand and fun to play! I wish I would have found it earlier but timing is everything. Thanks to this game, we didn’t have to spend any money on models, we already had a ton from my son’s old collection. We recently dusted off our old Mega Construx Halo, World of Warcraft, Destiny and Masters of the Universe mini figures snd ships and put them to use!

First off: AMAZING video and instantly subbed after watching the video. I like the effects you use and how well put together it and how you explain everything. I have rewatched it a few times to make sure I understand the rules since I am new to wargaming and also enjoy the content. Question for you tho: At around 14:45 when Skinner Overwatchs Moondog, wouldn't the roll have modifiers added to it? Like Skinner moved three times so he would get-1 DT? And Moondog moved twice so he would get +1 DT, right?

Hi Todd. Oh boy, let’s see. There’s a crashed Aquila lander and ork junk piles from GW. The wrecked Martian war machine is from All Quiet on the Martian Front. The broken fuel tank is from Gale Force 9. We made the rusty junk pile. The other bits, I don’t remember. Anyway, glad you liked the vid. Cheers.

21:08 You moved front of the base to back of the base, which as far as I know, in most games isn't allowed. You get and extra 30mm (base size) distance to your movement.

As you correctly state, 'most games'! As described by the author, this rule set is a synthesis and condensing of other rules that he has encountered. Song of Blades and Heroes uses the movement stick mechanic as depicted in this video. My opinion is, because this is clearly not meant to be an exhaustive rules set for competitive games, and as long as all parties playing the game use a consistent method, then no issue?
