Excellent scenario design and combining both rulesets is such a clever idea. Looking forward to part 2. Thanks for sharing!

Glad you liked the first installment. It turned out to be a bigger beast than anticipated, so we had to break it up.

Great little game, packs a lot of action into a low figure count

Great to have you both back making the best battle reports on the internet! Just an observation, when Lynn rerolled the 1 result twice: page 2, section 2.2 of Sword Weirdos states that you cannot reroll a die twice, you must accept result of the reroll! Still thoroughly enjoyed the bat -rep. 😉👍

Hi Brian. You are of course correct. I’ll just say that when shooting a video, or simply playing a game, sometimes I just go with the flow, rather than stopping the story’s momentum, referring to the rules, explaining the rule, and then trying to pick up where we left off. Maybe that’s playing fast and loose, but it keeps the action going.

  • @Bugsy58

@@oldhammered Totally understand and totally agree to keeping the game's momentum flowing! For one off games this would be my MO too, however if it was a series of games forming a campaign, then each situation may evolve into a key moment? Not a criticism of correction implied, merely an observation and game fleshing out addition idea. 😉

Love that. Those Weirdos games are so good for improvised movie based games. I found myself thinking of how ya might do a Die Hard game, or perhaps Robocop. Or maybe even swamp-set Princess Bride games with Buttercup and Westley tackling Rodents of Unusual Size. Lots of cool stuff to do.

Possible error in the beginning. You mentioned that the first facehugger had 2d6 defense, but when it was downed it should have had 2d4, but rolled 2D6. Glad to see you guys back in action. You make some of my favorite batreps.

Hi Steve. We picked up a stack of used GW boards at a swap meet a while back. I don’t know the name of this particular board, but yeah, it’s probably for Kill Team.
