    @Kanajashi My print machine tips (YMMV) For the big stuff, lay a row of blocks under the printer path with a 3x3 wheel assembly that will run on it (Power at zero, friction at zero, suspension strength at max, height offset as required) to keep it steady. Include your starting block/s in the blueprint Set welders to "Help others" The second, and my preferred, option, (requires less materials, less time and is more stable) is to have the projector be the mobile component and have the welder wall stationary.

    considering most ships being relatively flat you could even build it top down, will take a sh*t ton more welders, but the ship should overall be printed quicker

    I've had an instance where the nanite control facility was saying it required something like 6000 superconductors, though nothing being constructed or repaired actually needed them. It was a bug that hung around in my game for quite a long time. I had to disable the nanites' ability to use the assemblers because they just kept queuing thousands upon thousands of superconductors.

    Same happened to me. If it can't find enough of something, the numbers just goes up and up and never resets. Now I prefer to use Isy's Inventory script and always have a minimum set to everything.

    2 things, time lapse of both the printer and the grinder pit. its fun to watch things get built/destroyed second you should construct a second facility with its own shield. it should be connected to this facility via conveyor but the second facility should be designed specifically for printing out ships. you could set up control panels with buttons for activating welders as needed. you could even set up a switch board control panel so all you gotta do is hit a button and it turns on a projector with the desired ship then hit the start button to start construction

  • @terranovatitan4673

    Someone correct me if im wrong. Couldn't you have the projector and the one connecting starting block on a piston set with the blueprint vertical, rising up with a floor of stationary welders? I'm thinking it would look like the ship is coming out of the ground while being built and the ship just gets taller and taller till it's done

  • @waynehawley9052
    @waynehawley90525 жыл бұрын

    You should make a moon surface printer pad base that you can make it larger as needed. Especially with a large ship to print.

  • @Leatherman154
    @Leatherman1543 жыл бұрын

    If you projected the ships up vertically, you wouldn't need such a large piston stack, and would make the footprint much smaller. Sure the projection would protrude out the shield but printing time would be greatly reduced as well. You'd be printing along the Z-axis instead of the X-axis. Generally this is more effective for such a large ship.

  • @stanleyp1294
    @stanleyp12943 жыл бұрын

    Concerning your ship printer. For all the pointy projections at the start, maybe at the start you should build a frame connecting all these points to make them buildable by the printer. If you have to wait for it to progress two or three blocks in to get a connection then it may have already moved out of reach of the end block.

    Nicely done, I'm always impressed with how you nest the pistons. Couple suggestions though. One, turn your groups to hide in terminal. It will stop you from picking up other random blocks and reduce the lag when opening the control panel. Two, you can turn the pistons on and off to stop them rather than changing the velocity to 0. Three, you could connect it back with two conveyor junctions and two merge ocks rather than the rotor if that starts giving you trouble. Also, might I suggest the armored conveyors mod? It's nice because they have attachment points on all sides. Using pure junctions causes more lag.

    This is why I always build printers vertically, have them start at the top and pull down. Also you should have just built it with the front where the thrusters are so it had a central starting point

  • @michelgropper9535

    Maybe you could just build a tiny arm out of the side of the welder panel, where u can place a controlseat with toggle pistons on the hotbar. then u can afk in the seat while watching netflix (or sth. like dat) and just toggle the pistons in one click when you see its going a bit too fast :D

  • @zrebbesh
    @zrebbesh5 жыл бұрын

    Not every blueprint can be built in every direction. Things might be attached in ways that run against the direction of the welders, so that by the time you've printed a thing's attachment point the welders have already withdrawn past the thing itself. You can test a blueprint for this by building it without the nanites running, then turning on the nanites to find out whether they find anything to do. If they do, then the blueprint/build direction combo is problematic. (of course, if you have the nanites mod running, that will fix the missing bits too, but it would be nice to be able to say a welder-wall build works when you put the blueprint up).

    Year old and maaaybe even mentioned already. For printers, you might want to put windows infront of the welders. For two reasons, to prevent some blocks getting snatched up the welders and extend the welders' area of influence. 3x3 windows are the best for this.

  • @nathanburgett1599

    Seems like a LOT of materials to build a ship. Can't you just use a ship with several welders, a connector to load parts, with a sorter, and save a lot of material? 🤔. Don't get me wrong its a neat idea and cool.

Plus I think it'd be cool to find a old crashed ship and see you repurpose it instead of scrapping it. i hope you do this. consider how awesome it will be!

    Why you giving your comp a hard time ?? Nanitte uses 1- the nanitte comes with 3 differents beacon to tell it what you want to do 2-use the nanitte beacon (projection build) to build a BP ship 3-use the nanitte beacon and put it on ship you don'T want and the nanittes will deconstruct it by themselfs. Grinder pit is fun to watch but it's useless when you have nanitte that can do it with less CPU usage on your comp and less lag.

    👎wrong way to build the welder wall... there are TOOOOO many junctions do it a bit like how you made the grinder pit because all those junctions would be making the game slow down a lot due to every conveyor connection = more lag from how the conveyors work. They check every connection every time the game updates and it slows down each update time which creates lag...

    so you cut out all the building at around the 20 minute mark and instead we watch you mess with the control panel, you know, if i wanted to watch showcases i would. If i wanted to watch control panel work I'd just stick to watching me play the game, literally 5 minutes of messing in control panel but you cut out the build, come on man. people come for the designing, building and struggle there within, not panel work and minor troubleshooting after the build, which fyi you cut out as well. I'm sure you don't care about me or my one opinion, but if you aren't going to actually show anything, pretty sure my watching this series ends on the next episode. I've already started skipping through them because it's 90% panel work and trouble shooting the in the end that much like this video all the actual action is cut out
