Artillery bombardment from beyond the horizon? Yes please!

Dang! You're shooting in one time zone and hitting something in another time zone. If the planet had a date line you could literally hit something in the future or in the past depending on which way you were shooting. Accurate description, it definitely is a Heavy Railgun Launcher Range weapon.

"Sir, The artillery round made orbit."

To aim that thing you'd need a spotter drone to observe impact and report so that azimuth and elevation can be adjusted. Also creating a series of gps markers in a column (or a physical column with lcds or smth) with ranges could help to get the elevation for the initial shot about right (similar to modern rifle scopes with elevation lines for different ranges) and the azimuth could be just derived from a gps marker of the target location. Self guiding ammunition could also greatly increase the odds of hitting anything, but at that point you could just build rocket artillery...

yet another thing that makes me wonder what space engineers would be like with 1 to 1 scale planets! Amazing!

@@taichadess2790 Perhaps, but with a single thruster, you'd lose way more than the fuel consumption you saved, since it'd be woefully fuel inefficient for a human to redirect with just a gyro and a thruster, and very difficult to do so accurately. Therefore negating the need for the railgun On the other hand, downloading an airfoil mod, you could forgo the need for a thruster entirely and still have a guided missile

Better artillery than the actual artillery.

Wow, I didn't think it'd go that far. A little more and it would have matched the curvature of the earth and became a satellite.

Great, finally found a perfect weapon for my battleship!

Man singlehandedly made Stonehenge from the ace combat series.

This Atelerie Weapon neads to shot guided missiles that have a timer on to aktivat after 20 sec of in air. that wold be nice

now you just need a script to automatically target whatever you lock onto, maybe even sync that up to a UAV to lock onto those really long range shots

Looks like main cannon is only lika at 30-35 degrees. If it was 45 degrees you could strike something in 40 km range

There's a way to break da speed limit u need a double piston or smt to break it but it'll only last until 1km/s +

I had a mod that set it to 0.5 second reload
