Soy Sauce Butter Pasta with Shiitake Mushrooms
When I’m home alone, 9 times out of 10, I eat ramen. The high levels of sodium, wake up puffy kind of ramen. If I’m cooking for just myself, I find it a waste of time to spend copious amounts of time prepping and making dinner. I’ll just inhale the dinner in under 5 minutes anyways.
Lately, I’ve been trying to make an effort to still eat good food when I’m by myself. Here’s a super easy weeknight dinner recipe. If you’ve never had soy sauce and butter combo, definitely give this a try. Creamy, full of umami and still inhaled in under 5 minutes.
Ingredients:
3 oz of shiitake mushrooms, sliced
1 Tbsp. of olive oil
1 tsp of minced garlic
100 grams of cooked pasta
1 Tbsp. of butter
1 Tbsp. of soy sauce
Chopped scallions for garnish
Directions:
1. Heat olive oil over medium high heat. Add garlic and sliced shiitake mushrooms. Saute until mushrooms are lightly browned.
2. Add cooked pasta and stir until everything is evenly distributed.
3. Add the butter and soy sauce. Continue to stir until butter has melted
4. Serve with a garnish of chopped scallions. Enjoy!
Notes:
For a more substantial pasta dish, add some seared shrimp.

The simplicity of this one keeps me fascinating. It's one of those few dishes I might actual can cook without the Japanese/Korean ingredients we don't have here in Germany. I really enjoy your videos because they have quality content with a minimal looking editing just like the Japanese landscape or architecture videos made by some channels. keep up the good work and greets from Germany.
