This was an awesome video. I just came accross one of these in the wild yesterday. I picked up the Tube Midget 50h in stead. What a MONSTER!

With some nice fuzz, that beast would be an ideal Doom amp

You're completely right, Im in a doom band, I use this amp and I completely love my tone. YT wont let me link for whatever reason but the band is Burial Clouds. All guitars are through the bassov.

Hi! Excellent video. I have the same amp intended to play guitar and I found as you stated that it has little gain. Is it possible modify it to make it equal to the guitar mig 100, specially without changing the power tubes?

Absolutely. You just need to tie into the unused triode. 100K plate, 2.7K/0.68uF on the cathode and from the plate into the following stage use a .022uF coupling cap from the plate into a 470K/470pF treble leaking circuit into the following grid. There may need to be a resistor to ground on the signal path too. You can follow any 2203 or MIG100 schematic to work out the details. Most 2203 layouts floating around online are close enough to work as well. I believe the MIG series amps used a different cathode resistor on V1A than Marshall. The MIG had a 4.7K, the Butcher uses a 6.8K and the Marshall 2203/2204 used a 10K

Hey man iv watch quite a few of your videos and you know your shit man when it comes to amps. Are you accepting customers or do you just work on friends gear? I live in a very small hick town and there's no one to bring my equipment to. Is this something you are interested in?

I never worked on a Russian amp before, looks like everything else...I think I would have stuck with 6L6GC’s though, I built one with a modified 2204 preamp into the usual PI and 6L6GC power amp. EL34’s are ok, but just too fucking thin for my taste. Good video dude, you know your shit. Is the cold clipper cathode resistor a 10k, or more of a Soldano feel? (39k)

The cold clipper on this one is 4.7K which is the stock value on the MIG100H. Two factors went into to choosing to convert to EL34 specs. The customer already had KT77's they wanted to use and the plate voltage on these amps exceeds the max rated voltage on most current production tubes. A 10K cold clipper would have still sounded great for this one. I've only used 39K in amps that had an additional stage or two before the cold clipper.
