SWACC was developed by 8 County Extesnion Agents in SW Arkansas as a program to assist beginning cattle producers in building a firm foundation based upon research based practices. The sessions focused on forages, nutrition, reproduction, and facilities. Programming was delivered in four 6 hour session from December to March. Student evaluations were very positive and indicated knowledge increases. Many listed specific practices they planned to implement into their operation.
