    More correctly since this happened in Hawaii's version of Spring (April) bad weather or flights arriving at night. The report didn't mention which island the plane was flying to. Oue Winter weather has been moving around so it's getting harder to predict when our "storm seasons" is going to happen. Passengers might have been squashed against their seats with multiple G's any fighter pilot would be familiar with.

    In Hawaii you don't have a choice it's fly or else. The only other choice is book passage or a tugboat that goes from Oahu to another island. I suppose you could charter a fishing boat but your travel would be restricted by small craft warnings. Those are your better options. I don't think the Cornelia Marie comes down here any more.

Edit: hilarious to see Boeing has some b00tlickers in the comment section, as if Boeings are the only planes people can fly on. Thankfully they're not or else we'd probably think planes dropping out of the sky is a new normal. That's correct if the plane is in a stall, but the presence of a stall hasn't been reported as far as I know. In any event, the nose-down move is described as "inadvertent;" if it was part of a stall recovery, then it wouldn't be an inadvertent action.

    It's FIRST Officer, not flight officer.

  • @kentgrayson6172
    @kentgrayson61727 күн бұрын

    The first officer needs to be fired, they obviously can’t fly an instrument approach, the auto pilot was flying the aircraft, the moment the auto pilot was disengaged,alarms sound, the crew acted to slowly, and the aircraft never should dropped to 400 feet of the water. If this happened over a city they all would be dead. Unfortunately to many pilots today really can’t fly the aircraft by hand without the autopilot . That includes pilots of the airlines (121 operations) , air charter (135 operations) and private( 91 operations) relying on the technology and auto pilot to fly the aircraft. The auto pilot is a backup support system, the pilot is the primary system, if he can’t hand fly the aircraft then they shouldn’t be in that seat. On this flight they both should have in a second reacted and not lost any altitude, or course deflection. Lazy, dangerous,not really pilots .
