We are on the June new moon and things are heating up. Seabass and halibut are biting at the Channel Islands, yellows are biting at Clemente and Catalina, and the bluefin bite has kicked back into gear offshore. Check out this week's report to get all the details! #bloodydecks #SoCalBightReports #BightFishingReport

The bass bite 2 times a day. Before you get there, and after you leave 😂🍻

Erik: I think you are clear enough intellectually regarding your weekly reports. The people complaining either don't know the general areas you are reporting on, or are just not listening or are not that bright.
Erik, keep up the good work. Your reports are clear. You are always just being you, and not trying to sound cool or be like someone else and that is very honest. I think a few complaints is good, gives you a chance to look at things from different angles. Thanks for being straight up. Tight Lines.
Love these reports, thanks Erik!
Good stuff.... Not sure if you have a cold or not but hope you feel better and take that dayquil and nyquil.

I just have a chronically stuffed up nose due to allergies.
Hey Erik. Your reports are fine. Had a buddy get caught with an expired license, he did not realize that the annual expired a couple of weeks ago. He did not have auto renewal. I am sure there may be others that forget after we went to the 365 license. May be worth a mention
thanks as always staying close to home. sat pipe and the 14 we shall see.
Thanks for the information 👍🏽🎣
Always trying to learn from the vets in the game… so I subscribed a long time ago and watch weekly. Get those core workouts in to strengthen your core and stop the back pain. 😎🙏🏼
Always look forward to these reports! Heading out Sunday on the Fury for a 2 day 🤙

Went on one 3-day trip we came home after one day the fishing was amazing wide open yellowfin and mahi 30-50 got my limits the whole boat did but not for me never again to much work. Don’t even care for yellowtail all that much. Bass is my jam.
Erik, when saltyfly posted that salmon it was the 4th one I saw posted that week!
I’m sure there are plenty that don’t know this. “Bight” definition: a bend in a coast forming an open bay also : a bay formed by such a bend
Look forward to the weekly reports! Would like to see more paddy coverage for us paddy hunters! Saw some posts out of Newport, Oside, SD this week

Hey Eric, I'm a friend of Kim's you built a rod for her birthday. Can you mention a fishing tournament coming up in Mexico July25 -27th for Ladies Only. Kim's team won last year for largest Tuna. If it's possible I could send you a flyer you could show and a shout out to all our great sponsors. Thanks

I never ran to sci before. Want to buddy boat on Saturday?

I can’t commit because most of my trips end up being a last minute decision, but I agree that finding a buddy boat is a good idea if you’re not comfortable making the run solo. Maybe another viewer is in the same boat and will chime in.
I am not a meteorologist, this is not weather advice. Your results may vary.

I should run that as a disclaimer!
thanks for report, when you fish san clemente for calico/yt do you anchor up or drift ?
@eriklandesfeind7723
Ай бұрын
I always drift because I’m using artificial lures. If you’re fishing bait you’re better off anchoring up.

@@eriklandesfeind7723 thank you! Why does it matter for live bait?
@eriklandesfeind7723
Ай бұрын
If you have live bait you can chum and attract fish (but also sea lions which is bad). Hen you fish artificial lures to have to go and find the fish so it pays to keep the boat moving.
I thought you gave up on tuna fishing on your skiff?

I’ve mostly given them up lol
