There are white English still around that are not in hawkensville Georgia. The reason that people that do have true web like to keep them to ourselves is, there are so few left because of breeding them to pits and American bulldogs. The old southern bridle bulldog is gone now because of this and we would like to keep the white English from doing the same.

I’m the guy with the Alapaha blue blood bulldog. Might consider getting an American sentinel from Lee when this ol girl gets too old

@christophergentile7464 - nice, and you never know there might be one lurking around somewhere. The northeast is where a lot of them old Colby dogs reside. I believe there is some relation between the two somewhere along the line but I’m sure it’s all been far too long to amount to anything.

@@prideofthesouthlandkennels True. I love your dogs and style but I’m really looking for a good personal protection/ home guardian. I won’t get another Alapaha due to the dominance issues and totally way too civil. That’s why I’m looking to Lee for the American sentinel. But trust me I won’t count your dogs out because American bulldogs can be super protection dogs.

That was a great explanation of the differences between the three. I have had bulldogs in their various forms my entire life. Mostly American Bulldogs. But my last and most favorite dog I have ever had was an OSW. She was totally different from any American I have owned, her temperament, her drive and her protective instincts were all heightened compared to other Bulldogs I have had. I know that different dogs have different personalities, but there was even something different about the way she moved and observed situations. She was smart and loyal as hell she absolutely would have died protecting me, she proved that when we were run up on in the woods by a couple half wild dogs. She whipped them jokers all across the creek bottom but would never chase them much more than 10-12 yards from me, she always came right back to me and stayed between them and I. Around where I am I have had a very difficult time finding someone with pups that come from good stock. I don't especially care about papers or looking at 20 generations past. Most everything I can find is from washed out dogs with little to no pigmentation not on the lips, the nose, no skin freckles nothing. I have always heard/read that the lack of pigmentation can telegraph future health issues deafness blindness hip and joint issues. Wondering if anyone knows this to be fact?

I think lack of pigmentation is definitely tied to deafness and other skin issues but I can’t say for the rest. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment and share your experience as well. Thank you 🙏🏻

@@ricosuave7102 depends on who you ask. I’d say they’re both still around but in small numbers. I haven’t had any luck at all finding a White English that is still functioning the way they were spoken about. Several claim they have White English but I haven’t found any raised on a farm. To be a true Old Southern White you’d have to find some old blood. All of this is just my opinion and how I view things. The next man you ask will more than likely have a different opinion.

Brother I like the way you broke down the strains. I personally prefer the American bulldogs with more color. I have a male scott type, that looks quite alot like Mac the Masher, his name is "Broly" king of the North.

Thanks Daniel. I keep on watching your videos in an effort to learn more about the breed and its history. Also I like seeing what you are doing with trying to create that great farm dog. One day I'll do a DNA test on my pup to see what she is, but for now I just refer to her as a standard American Bulldog. She is about 50% white and 50% brindle is 22 inches at the shoulder and weighs about 55 pounds. She is the lovingest dog I've ever had. Given her size she is also the biggest lap dog I've ever had too. Thanks again!!

The type of bulldog you are trying to get i think is amazing. Protector, flock guardian, stock herder. i think that is something cool to aim for, especially next to the other bull breeds that i think alot are just trying to be like bullier look pitbulls(catch happy manic dogs). I am not saying people can't do what they want with their dogs but cool to see what you are doing with yours, so much utility all in one dog.

I think you done got this figured out. And done separated the BS from the real. U the only one I trust on this subject now. N I have heard the “top 2 names” but I think we know they added a lil sump more to the lines n lied a lil more😂

Hello, how are you, I'm from Brazil, and I would like to know if here in Brazil there is this type of American Bulldog, I already had it, but like Bully, I didn't like it very much, I had a Black with konfederation and bullspirit blood, 2 dogs came from bullspirit to Brazil
