You might want to do some study on the timothy scripture. There is a bit more to that. You leave out the context of the verses. By your line of thinking. It also says women shouldn't be able to speak. Do we also take that literally? Of course not!

He knew my gender, before the foundation of the world, when He made His choosing of me known to me. He needs LABORERS, GENDERLESS, just LABORERS.

The godliest man I have ever known personally would have said no to women pastors. End of story. He also declared that Baptists are NOT protestant - they are doing what the Lord Himself said to do, have NOTHING to protest. He preached daily, practical holiness, as well as outreach. He was so covetous of his daily time spent in the Word and with the Lord. He was unflappable.

Exactly. I have nothing to protest, nor am I " reform ". I am not some disgruntled catholic clinging to Luther or Calvin, Paul the Apostle wrote how we are to operate our day to day faith.

While women could publicly pray and prophesy in church (1 Cor. 11:1-16), they could not teach or have authority over a man (1 Tim. 2:11-14), since these were two essential functions of the clergy. Nor could women publicly question or challenge the teaching of the clergy (1 Cor. 14:34-38).

The devil's crowd never give up. he has sown many tares amongst the wheat so we must be ever diligent to "earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints." It is a shame that southern baptists are even having to deal with something so clearly dealt with in the Bible.

It comes down to they don't want to lose out on the money. They aren't concerned about the clear teachings the Word of God.

Al Mohler astutely observed recently, and I paraphrase, "the same hermeneutic that is used to justify women in pastoral authority is the same hermeneutic used to affirm homosexuality.' Any church that cannot abide by the SBC BFM 20 should leave the denomination.

Wow!!! I suppose the last phrase of Gen:3-16 is truly hated by women. Women are precious gifts from God (proverbs Chapter 31) and not pastors of church bodys or leaders or rulers over their husband's. Furthermore the husband shouldn't be blamed for what God wrote or commanded in scripture. Glad I married an Asian because her respect for me and tone with makes me wanna "RUN" towards obedience of Ephesians 5:25...thus our marriage is truly balanced God's way. Amen 🙏

They will soon crumble. The Lord’s word is NOT up for debate or modification. The Lord chose 12 Apostles to go out and teach, preach, spread His word and establish the church. This is not up for debate. Jezebel spirit possesses women again to feed their egos, looking for a “look at me” stage for their exotic heels, wigs, false eye lashes, tight clothing, short leggy clothing, implanted bosoms, and all the trimmings of “how good do I look”. This is NOT in the Word of God. I am a woman and it disgusting to see that women fail to see His perfect creation, not in the eyes of men, but in His image. I've been encountered plenty of female pastors at a church I've attended. This church is behind on the times, I believe. Plus, wasn't there a Judge named "Deborah" in the Bible? She was chosen under God to lead the Israelites and was an excellent leader for her time as Judge. I know she wasn't in the title of Pastor, but she was doing what a pastor does. Keeping with God's Word and will for His people. I remember reading that definitely. These folks are trippin'. I do agree, I think they just choose certain passages out of the Bible to try and control the community. And I've met many great female pastors who preach God's Word.

🎯It's not about about 'Great female pastors but about obeying God's Word🎯 Do you remember the Lord saying 'some will be telling me, we have done such and such miracle ...but i'll tell them I never knew you '? Why go so far back in the history to chose the example of Deborah ? We are under a New covenant with new principles and commandments. The best example to chose should be the Lord Himself : can you tell us, of all the Apostles, which one was a female? Even Judas wasn't replaced by a 'female' Apostle ? Yet He was surrounded by many faithful women....
