Southern Arizona's Tallest Mountains and Overlanding with My Dad
I was finally able to get my dad out on an overland adventure for the first time in a decade. We explored the the tallest mountain range in southern Arizona and also managed to get a little fishing in. Showing off his minimalistic overland tundra build, we camped two nights in a beautiful mountain range in the cool alpine summer air.

I'm glad to see you out with your Dad. My Dad passed away 17 years ago at a facility in Mesa. He was 80 and just completely worn out from life. Not a day goes by when I don't miss him & I always remember what he taught me whenever I do go camping & fishing. It's a really special video. Thank you.

I was about to say the same thing. I lost my dad three years ago this month. Cherish these moments: no matter how much time you have with someone, when they're gone, it was never enough.

We take for granted the time we spend with our parents. Exactly why I’m trying to rekindle my relationship with my pops. They’re here and gone before we know it. Thanks for watching and the support. It means a lot!
I grew up in Cochise County and watching your videos brings back memories

Another great video man. Really like the down to earth feel of your channel. It’s not all about flashy gear, but more the adventure itself. It’s also cool seeing a local doing KZread. Keep it up!

Really glad you catch the vibe of the channel! I try to keep it realistic and not go over board with the gear. This hobby shouldn’t be so commercialized like how it’s becoming. Thanks for watching brother!
Im only 6 1/2 minutes into this adventure and already enjoying it. Being with your dad is wonderful. The last thing i ever did with my dad was camp on a river bank and run throw lines. We really loved that and of 4 boys i was the only one who ever took to it so he really loved it when i had time to go. Keep your pop close and keep making those memories.

They’re the types of memories I think we sometimes take for granted but always a treasure to look back on. It’s a privilege to be able to spend time doing things with your dad that he enjoys also!
National Fishing Day. Had to laugh. Dad and I rode many many trails. First trip into the Superstitions when I was twelve. Rain storm, kinda lost,,, dark. Thank gosh good ol Paint horse Babe knew where the trailer was. Enjoy all the trips you can.

Great content as always. I love the history of our state you add to your travels. Also yes, as many have stated, the father son relationship is like no other. Lost my pops/best friend in 09. Still miss him and reference things he used to do and taught me all the time. Keep up the amazing channel.

I like you got our with your Dad, my dad passed away last year after a very full life, he taught me a lot about the outdoors and I am trying to pass that on to my kids. I noticed your Pops is rocking as Pittsburgh Steelers license plate Awesome! I am a Pennsylvania native from the Pittsburgh area transplanted by choice to Tucson for 30 years now. I wish I could have spent more time with him outdoors, cherish the moment.

I often take my parent for granted but when they’re gone, all you have is memories you make along the way. I try to spend as much time as I can without letting life get in the way, what these old timers can teach us is something truly valuable.
Great work as usual! It's nice see the man that helped mold the story teller and a dreamer. I'm a bit older than you father and I too have forgone the Millers for Arnold Palmers. Though it's rumored I keep a bottle of the appropriately named Screwball for sitting around the campfire. Keep on tell your story.

Good video. New subscriber. I had the same color Tundra as your Dad's, with side steps and a bed topper. It was a 2000 that I bought new and had a Tacoma prior to that. Traded it in on a RAM 2500 with the Cummins. Then a 2012 RAM 3500 and now a 2017 RAM Rebel.

My father would haul me around to all those lakes in Southeastern Az every vacation to go fishing. I seem to remember a little concern at Riggs Flat over the black bears coming down to raid the camps at night and having them walk by sniffing our tent and banging around the tables trash cans and cars. Rucker lake I remember a pretty wet night in a tent when the rain came. Trout didn't appeal to me much for all the bones though.
