This competition was probably our only chance of a trophy this year and was certainly our best hope for European football next year. No chance of top 4. Needed to prioritize the FA Cup and rotate against Southampton in a few days. Ralph was obviously going to field his strongest team in the FA Cup, Mikel needed to do the same. Plus, then we have a few of our best players rested for MU next weekend.

Never heard of Pepe before Arsenal bought him. When they did, I watched a few clips of him and I wasn't impressed considering it was in the farmers league. What I wanna know is, who's decision was it to make that transaction?

We need to rest our players , can't win every FA Cup

Southampton are above arsenal in the table with a game in hand. OF COURSE it was arrogant to think you could make SEVEN changes and still beat them.

Didn’t we sign anyone whose a creative midfielder, if so why wasn’t he playing?

He brought on the right subs but took the wrong people off. Like why take off bellerin AND martinelli for laca and saka to play out of position. And nketiah and willian still getting to play

Martinelli was poor today

I remember Jose M played his strongest Chelsea side against us in the League Cup final. I’m paraphrasing but he believed winning this underrated cup. Would lead to a confidence in other competitions...Winning becoming a habit

This interview is actually crazy long I paused it expecting it to be ending and it was only starting lool, ngl was kinda wholesome though Lee had a decent debate/argument.

Nicholas Pepe was 72 million pounds. Seventy two. Please don't make comparisons to Maguires price tag. He's a solid player who has actually improved United, Pepe has been a horrible flop.

LOVE you Lee. This is exactly the rant I want to hear.... i've been screaming similar all day. I'm livid. The game to rest players is Tuesday against them in the prem, after we spot a position where we can make a change(s). This is the 2nd most important trophey...we've pissed away the 1st one. FA Cup now should have had more priority over Tuesday's game. Gutted we're out

Agree with Robbie on this one players will burn out so bad at this club if you look at our run of fixtures, but the team Arteta put out today should be good enough to beat Southampton.
