South West Coastal Path | A Walk From Stonebarrow Hill to Golden Cap

Hands down one of the most impressive long-distance walks in the world is the South West Coast Path - 630 miles of designated National Trails boasting undulating cliffs and hidden coves, smugglers paths and sandy beaches, fishing villages and millions of years of geology.
One of the most popular day walks along the trail scales Golden Cap, the highest point on the South Coast that also happens to sit within the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Join Abbie as they head out to explore this stunning section of the coastal path and witnesses a mind-blowing sunset!

I admit...I did not. I am going for an 11 mile walk on Sunday though with 2 friends as we start our epic quest of walking The Hertfordshire Way this year.

One of my favourite Abbie vids, love that bit where your at the top of Golden Cap with the sunset ahead, and you are just lost for words and all you can do is shake your head with the excitement, love it!

Abbie: You are without a doubt the happiest person on youtube for sure. we love your enthusiasm , for the last 2 years we've walked bits of the coast path in Cornwall in the Perranporth area. At the age of 5 it managed to hold my daughters attention span all afternoon. Trust me, this is rare for her. This year we're going for an 11 mile walk on some of the same bits of the path. roughly double last years hike. My father was fond of saying, "the best things in life are free". This is one bit of wisdom i'd like to pass on to her. thank you for sharing all your wonderful films. Gary.

How amazing was your video, the sights were so beautiful. Everyone should be as happy as you are. I came across your video while searching for golden cap. We aim to visit there next year. Yesterday we done the westbay to seatown and back. It was tiring at the ripe old age of 57. Enjoyed all the views . Actually didn't ache very much today. Happy walking :) thank you for sharing your adventures. Jackie .

I've walked the SWCP anti clockwise and clockwise these last two years and love it soooo much I'm starting at Minehead again in May this year to do it all again! Love the like minded people I come across and the sights I see. Blessed! Keep up the good work Abbie!!

Really enthralled by your enthusiasm Abbie. Wow! Where to begin on the many issues you spoke about. I guess Eleanor Roosevelt springs to mind who said, 'Do one thing every day that scares you.' Darn right! This area sounds spectacular. An activity for everyone...hey what about the swimmers?I'm sure they're there somewhere amid the hikers and surfers and more besides. How amazing is our planet? Awesome amazing! Good going. Mark

I have a plaque hanging on the wall in my apartment entry reading "LIVING MY DREAM." I do just that, it is how I live my retirement years. I struggle with the effects winter months have on me, I know the inclines will be brutal at first. I feel myself slowing down, just have to keep doing.

Good lord, that was great. I enjoyed that. You’re a bit wound up there. It’s great to see you enjoy your own country so much. I would just about pay money to have a chat with you. You’re right, sometimes you have to just get out there and do that thing you think, for whatever reason, you can’t do. Visiting your country last year was one of those things for me and I absolutely would not trade the experience for anything. Anyway, sorry for carrying on, take care and keep on with what you’re doing.

Loving your videos and your enthusiasm for neing outside in Nature, Abbie. I live in Purbeck (near the pub with the dog on the roof!! 😀 ) and haven't done Golden Cap yet, so now definitely on my list! Just trying to follow your walk against an OS map and got a bit confused the route uou took from Stonebarrow Hill to Langdon hill. Was that down chardown hill, through Upcot, then up Muddyford Lane (the long hill climb)? Thanks, you're awesome, keep up the great inspiring work!

Legally no. But as long as you pitch up late and pack up early, while leaving no trace and in a sensible place with no fire, people tend to tolerate it.
