So what I realized with roofing galvanized roofing zink is lighter in the event of an earthquake ,decking concrete roofing is more deadly in the event of a earthquake but good for storm ,so it's a give and take,even so we are a nation of resilience, we know how to kill each other but good at pulling to gather in time like these ,if we over come Gilbert and Manny other we will over come this one too,look at all the missing house top I can't imagine all those roof flying in the air all at the same time,must be heart wrenching

I went through Hurricane Andrew in Miami 1992. This must have been frightening...hearing all the noise and the creaking roofs..going from one room to the other.............falling trees.......... Hope 🙏

These roads are barely drivable and possibly get worse at night. Really hope motorists will be using a lot of caution and doing none of the usual crazy stunts on them. At least until they get fully cleared up as it could be weeks due to all the damage.

NO ONE IS ASKING THE JAMAICA GOVERNMENT THE TOUGH QUESTIONS. The poor people need money in the community to buy food. There are more elderly people out there who do not have shelter right now who need to have shelter and food. The government (YOU, AH) is not moving fast enough. The JDS need to be dropping water and food over the island. Why is curfew on the people when the people are the one cleaning up the island? NOT the Government. Where is the JDS the need to be out giving out food and water and cleaning up the island. Hope I can see this going by today 7/5/24 Where poor people to get money to stock up on food ? JDF SHOULD BE DROP OFF FOOD.

When I was listening to your broadcast, before the hurricane hit ,most people were concerned bout the eyebof the hurricane, instead of the powerfull rain and wind in the outerbands of the eye.Imagine the eye was off the coast, and still,look at the damage caused by rain and winds of 140 mils per hour.

RIP Aluminum roofs.

A failure of the government to cut the road way bushes and trees along the road contributed to this problem

In the nineties after Gilbert they usually advice home owners to check their roofing every decade put on storm strappers in the event of a storm your roof is safe it was advertised by the building Societies on the TV Stations and some licensed Contractors but these days people are using decked roofs instead of zinc it is so sad in times like these

God has favored JA no lives lost that I'm aware of,at the same time knowledge comes from Him, with that said in Architectural design ps consider strapping down the roofs with cables and such,experience is a great teacher. 🙏

I must say you described and identify where you are but not showing the houses and properties clearly.
