Lorde being only 17 years old when this episode came out just goes to show how fucking fast time flies. The idea of a person born in the 90s being in their teenage boggles my mind because of how much time has passed. I mean now this episode came out nearly 9 years ago

I was never baffled by agung in general, I was just implying that it’s crazy thinking about how much younger someone was not too long ago even though it feels like a damn well long time you’ve been used to people of that period already being full grown adults

It boggles my mind that people think 5 years or 10 years is a long time, as I've been aroung long enough to experience how time starts to fly once you get a bit older. After that point 15 years is like yesterday, and 25 years I would maybe consider "a long time ago", and I expect that to lenghten as I age further.

South Park transitionary jingle (Dedudu-dedudu!) [POW POW] You can really tell that Matt and Trey's focus in Season 22 was on pushing the boundaries of what could be allowed on basic cable even further than they already did. In fact, I guarantee you that the reason Seasons 23 and 25 weren't good wasn't because of the Tegridy Farms stuff which people got tired of fast, but because they simply used all their best ideas in that one season, meaning they couldn't think of anything good for the scripts after that.

This whole mess can be described as Cartman's fault. He needs to learn to not start something bad and let somebody else end up taking the fall on it. Stan didn't deserve that, now did he? Stan gets blamed for no reason and yet Cartman chose to pick a fight with him for some random reason.

There was an issue not long ago where a girl was raped in the highschool bathroom by a transgender student. Come to find out this student had done the same thing to a girl at the last school. The dad was forced off the school premises and arrested for yelling about it at a board meeting because despite the fact his daughter was raped, the school didn't do anything about the transgender student because they didn't want to look like they condemned people who were transgender. The student was arrested sometime later because of sexual assault in yet another case. There's also a transgender woman who was going around in bathrooms and filming other women while they were trying to use the restroom, looking under the stalls (someone completely unhinged that had either a tiktok or youtube channel that they were posting these things to) she even got caught out asking children about their periods in the public bathrooms. The fact these things have happened at all are what put people on edge. It makes it feel like an unsafe space for women and children. Especially for victims of assault.

This is one of my all-time favourite episodes, it shows how much heart the show can have when it really feels like it. As well as being funny and showing the classic South Park approach to looking at all sides of an issue, in the end the episode is about being who you want to be and anyone who thinks otherwise is a sad, empty human. Considering all the hate South Park gets for their depiction of trans people, this episode shows their true feelings on the debate: everyone should be who they want to be and fuck anyone who disagrees

Which is what someone who seems woke would call the "and anyone else". Also this is the popular opinion and obvious from their writing lol. I feel like it's so obvious that I want to repeat it because you missed it somehow. Caring about an epidemic about kids and not caring what adults do to themselves for medical treatment are not mutually exclusive. This isn't some twitter posts. I'm not calling south park transphobic. Only you would do that over thinking most gender ideology stuff is stupid.@@boblionia

So as a doctor I once watched here on KZread said SEX is what your physical body is and GENDER is what you 'socially' identify as. I think it's one of those things that people feel a different gender because certain personality traits are traditionally considered male or female. Sexuality is what you are 'physically attracted to but it doesn't mean they can't have deep emotional connections with other people. Some people have more love to share than others. It's how they choose to use it and what their physical body is telling them, they need. Some people form romantic bonds with people they are sexually attracted to and some aren't. Some have partners for different types of love. The Greeks had many different types of love, just like there are many types of hate. However, there can not be hate if there isn't love behind it. Envy and Greed, both of these emotions come from love, stemming from admiration or physicals needs that haven't been met. Cartman's actions on the other hand, are all clearly out of some form of jealousy or Greed. So in conclusion: Cartman is the ultimate hater. XD Thanks for reading!

Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation are two different things. Gender Identity is the gender(s) you identify with as a person while Sexual Orientation is the gender(s) you are attracted to. The way you can think of it is if you were to wake up in a female body, would you just automatically be attracted to males? No, you would still be attracted to women like you were before in your male body. If gender or sex automatically made you straight then homosexuality of any kind would not exist.

@@dickersoncharlie4961 Actually, you can be trans because trans-GENDER-ism specifically is on the basis of gender and transitioning gender, which is a social construct. Trans-SEXUAL-ism, on the other hand, is transitioning sex, which so far hasn’t been made fully possible yet. Eventually it will be if we have technology to do it, such as transferring your consciousnesses into a male, female, or intersex body but until then, you possess a sex at birth. However, you are assigned a gender around that sex because gender has become intertwined with sex. Most people who are trans don’t just identify with the opposite sex but rather the gender surrounding it, if not just the gender itself. Because sex is intertwined with gender they may change certain aspects of their sex to fit the gender they identify/are trying to transition to, mainly because we associate aspects of sex and sex characteristics to gender, which includes primary, secondary, etc, which is why transsexualism (or changing sexual aspects) to a certain degree can be gender affirming to some even though sex and gender are two different things. It's complicated, I know, but hey, that's just a byproduct of an intelligent species capable of creating social/cultural constructs through social interaction, even around our biology.

That madness regarding gender indentity has being disproven time and time again. In fact the first "try" they took to make a Scientific study on the issue to see if an average kid could end up becoming trans with time the whole experiment failed and the kid ended up deleting himself at age 36 because of all the trauma and psicological castration. It seems whatever argument they come up with has no actual reference or scientific study to back up their claim. Bro it aint that complicated. When someone becomes trans, it has no bearing on their sexual preferences. The gender is the only thing that changes. Not their sex, and not their sexual orientation. However the sexual orientation CAN change too but it's not a requirement. Btw in this example, it would make Cartman still straight, if he decided to become a trans woman. Because his sex and sexual orientation hasnt changed.

They even made this episode that way on purpose so that people would have certain expectations as to where the show was going prior to the twist revile. So if you didn't have any expectations as to where this episode was going prior to that point, pretty sure you are probably one of the only ones that didn't.

The entire episode addresses the main concern of the trans argument. The trans people who are only trans for the sake of attention or to be a part of the issue. Cartmen isn't trans, clearly, we've known him long enough to prove that. He literally is using the argument to have full access to his own private bathroom. Referencing those who use the "I'm trans" argument without being trans to enter women's spaces for their own intentions. There's another great episode that addresses this with strong woman and randy savage. S23 E7 "Board Girls".

Not by his choice, though. He was shown on the mega-screen at the game, everybody saw that he used (what should have been labeled as) an all-gender bathroom. His bosses made the assumption that Peter actually wanted gender-affirming surgeries. By Family Guy logic, his bosses were able to convince a surgeon to perform those surgeries while Peter was under for other procedures (something which would *never* happen). Peter spent the rest of the episode exploring his gender, and ended up feeling dysphoria being in a body which presented as a woman. He and Ida have a talk about how their situations are vastly different.
