    In case you didn’t get it, this episode is a VERY faithful parody of the show “I shouldn’t be alive”, to the point where they even got one of the narrators of that show to narrate this episode. The main joke of this episode is that this format is used in the actual show to recount the traumatic and near-death experiences of people, where they lost limbs, friends, and had to fight off wild animals, and this episode is using the format to recount how boring their day was.

    I still vividly remember being in on a surgery and the entire time (I am not exaggerating) my doctor was just talking about this episode over and over. Just casually doing this surgery and he’s talking about how he was dying when the show was showing Eric’s intestinal tract and how the soda was mixing with his food. It was one of the most surreal and funniest things I have ever had the privilege of experiencing. 😂

    Yooo. I used to work with people who had special needs and developmental disabilities. Had to take a lot of classes for it, and the worst one was probably the physical restraint and incident de-escalation class. (To be perfectly clear, the restraints we were taught were non-violent, and to be used only as an absolute last resort to protect both other individuals and the person who may be threatening harm to others or themselves. We NEVER would employ a takedown, or do any hold that would last longer than 5 minutes without resetting and attempting to calm the situation again.) That class was four hours long, and I had to go on a weekend losing half a day off. To top it off I had a mouthy instructor that was way too personal about their own experiences and what was going on in their life and interjected way too many examples and stories. To make it worse, everybody in the class felt compelled to share virtually every scenario and situation they'd ever been in that remotely related to the material being taught and it made the class drag on, and on, and on. What was supposed to be 4 hours took 6 and drove me friggen insane. Never before have I wanted to yell at so many people to shut the fuck up in my life.

  • @Coughdropaddict

    @Coughdropaddict

    I took a class just like that. One person told a story about how a patient had accused him of ejaculating in is eggs, and everyone else was all serious and "Oh, that's terrible..." while I'm sitting there trying not to start giggling like a 10-year old for the next four or five hours.

  • @Kamenari37

    @Kamenari37

    Жыл бұрын

    @@Coughdropaddict Ugh, no man mine was awful. Nobody wanted to be there and as the instructor was giving instructions about situations where we might need to employ what we were learning, nearly every example was met by someone having a story about a similar situation they had encountered. It was required training that we'd all taken before but had to re-familiarize ourselves with. Every time the flow of class was stopped because someone felt compelled to share though it got to be so annoying. I was sitting there steaming, saying nothing just cause I didn't want to contribute to any more wasted time. Like yes! Of course! That is why we are here, because this stuff happens from time to time! You're not helping to teach the class by citing personal experience EVERY, SINGLE, TIME you are reminded of what happened to you.

    Ngl, as someone who is autistic and has been heavily judged for my behavior for not acting "normal", I have to do what the boys were doing everyday, unless I get home or online where I can be myself. In situations like crowds, the huge kind, I become overwhelmed but I smile and go along with everything despite how much I want to scream I feel uncomfortable. My parents and sibling accompany me everywhere I go, so when they notice how tired I look and how my tone shifts to not very sincere, they get me or we leave for my mental state. Anyway, I feel for them so much it's not even funny when it comes to pretending to be super polite and kind when you are so not in the mood to be.

    I’m half white, here’s the deal. “Gnar gnar” is short hand for “gnarly” a very 80s white people phrase often associated with “rad” or inversely negative “bogus” . Also I have been zip lining, it was at boy-scout camp and it is indeed fun, BUT every single time I did it, I was genuinely afraid because nobody fucking knows who built it or if it’s gonna break at any second.

    I've gone ziplining in Costa Rica and hated every moment of it. I do not do heights, and I thought I could, and I was wrong. I was twenty-one, and I cried more than I had ever in my young adult life; 0/10. I do not recommend it.

    He's selfish most of the time, though. It's a consistent trait of his character that he co-opts meaningful causes and opinions for self-serving reasons. The truth is that the only one of the main four boys who isn't generally awful is Kenny. Kyle is a sanctimonious douchebag, Stan is a fake, virtue-signalling prick, and Cartman is.. well, he's Eric Cartman. Kenny has vices, but they're pretty much exclusively self-destructive and don't impact other people. He's also altruistic and despite his terrible personal life, goes out of his way to do right by others for no other reason than that it's the right thing to do. So yeah. All of them except Kenny are assholes who make each other worse for the fact that they're friends.

    @@Sasukeuchiha-xt3lk They're still exploitative and shitty. Watch season 6 and see how they willfully manipulate Butters, abuse him as a friend, and eventually replace him with Tweek - to whom they're equally cruel. By and large, Stan and Kyle aren't good kids. None of the group really is, but Kenny is the best of the bunch but a country mile.

    @kevinb5417 Totally agree, Butters said it in Going Native, even in the Post COVID special put it, the only nice one of the bunch is the pervert of Kenny. Even though Kenny seems to be a follower, he can get his life together even though the group breaks apart or not, that is not going to make any difference with him.

    All the kids started as mouthful kids with kids shenanigans, but later, they started to get in deeper issues, Cartman began his path to darkness, targeting Kyle a lot. Then Kyle got contaminated by Cartman due to his constant bullying and discrimination; his judgement became clouded by him and when it is about Cartman, he automatically goes against what he says or does because he thinks he only wants to pester, bullying or manipulating him, then Stan became the voice of reason. However, later on, life hasn't treated well Stan, due to his dad's idioticies, the world's unjust treatment, how the lesson he learnt goes out of the window, how his good intentions can harm others, etc. The world has shown him to become an a****** like his dad.

    The dude who plays live action Cartman is a KZreadr. undotube aka Brandon Hardesty. He does reenactments of classic movie scenes. I use to watch him all the time back in 2006-2010. He's kind of a great forgotten internet actor.
